FIRST!!! Because of course I am; I'm the resident TransFormers freak 'round these parts. If you doubt it, just check out all the stuff I've shown off in the Toy Scores thread over the past three years. Also, my current avatar is Unicron for goodness sakes. What, are you still not getting it? HELLO?! ANYBODY HOME?! THINK, McFLY, THINK!
ANYway, I was initially disappointed that you didn't talk about the small handful of TransFormers video games that came out back in the '80s; I mean, this IS a website about vidya games after all. But then I realized the whole lot was complete and utter crapola, so I chilled out a bit. Needless to say, you have my eternal gratitude for not subjecting myself, others, and especially yourself to such insufferable agony.
I was also a bit annoyed at first by having to deal with another "Duke" on this site, but then calmed down when I saw your shout-out to Duke.Togo and the CollectorCast in the end credits. I figured if he's helping you out, you can't be all that bad. BTW am I correct in guessing that some of Duke.Togo's "help" was your acquisition of a few of his old TransFormers toys? I was the first person he came to when he was selling off his collection, and I recall each one you showed off being on his for-sale list. BTW that "mystery" Autobot fighter jet is Air Raid, a member of the Aerialbots combiner team that merges into Superion.
BTW have you looked at the most recent TransFormers toys from the Prime Trilogy line? It's a nonstop wall-to-wall tribute to the G1 toy line, from the first wave all the way down to almost all of the combiner teams, Headmasters, Powermasters, and even the Pretenders! Sadly, I wish Machinima's Prime Trilogy tie-in show was a lot better. But hey, it beats the BayFormers movies by a fair distance... which is really nothing to brag about, now that I think about it.
All right, time for me to make like a tree, and get outta here. But before I go, I'd like to say I'm glad to make your acquaintance, Mr. Duke of San Diego. If you're ever in the good to wax nostalgic about TransFormers or any other Reagan-era pop-culture nostalgia, I'd be more than happy to converse with you... granted I have the spare time.

Dude! Very nice episode. I didn't have a lot of these guys when I was a tike, but that didn't stop me from watching the show constantly! Man, that was great stuff, even by the standards of the day, and we had some amazing cartoons back then (MASK, Spiral Zone) and even better theme songs (Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors is still amazing). I think I mostly had the simpler Transformers, like some of the cassettes and Bumblebee, but at some point I got ahold of a working Shockwave and my life was complete, at lease for a little while (i.e., I broke it and my dad threw it away).

Great episode! I'm really digging this series, Duke. I didn't own many Transformers as a kid, because they were so much more expensive than G.I. Joe figures, but I had a couple notable ones. I had Blitzwing for a while, until a classmate broke it, and my uncle bought me the Devastator set one Christmas, and the following spring, a neighbor kid broke one of the heads off, and messed it up so I couldn't assemble Devastator anymore. But boy, did I love the cartoon, and watched it endlessly during 1985 and 1986. I also loved the movie, despite the death of the characters. And yes, what a great soundtrack that was!

@Zagnorch: thanks for watching! Yes, I baught some of the transformers From Duke Togo. I never played any transformers video games back in the day which is the main reason why they weren’t mentioned. I’ve only ever played with the original line of toys.
