My second music installment thing. Here are 6 songs that I feel were overlooked last generation for whatever reasons. Oh, and note I never had an Xbox so I'm missing a lot of great songs from that platform.

The True Mirror- Baten Kaitos

This game gets a lot of flack due to it's horrendous voice acting-- however, it is hard to deny that the music in the game is fantastic.

Beyond the Bounds- Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner

For whatever reason people on RFGen seem to not care for ZotE 2. I think this song pretty much sums up it's awesomeness. If you can manage to see it with the opening FMV it's even better.

Clock Tower- Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

I love Castlevania music, and if there is one song I think best epitomizes a specific area in the game... it's this song. It starts calm, as if the player doesn't realize the dangers and traps which are around the corner... but slowly it builds up and explodes into a fever. Fantastic.

Phendrana Drifts- Metroid Prime

If you can't tell by now, I love music that fits the atmosphere of the area/game. Even without knowing what Phendrana Drifts is, I think it would be a decent assumption that most players would be able to get an idea of the area. It's soothing, but has a subtle hint of desolation.

Wind Waker Theme- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

I had to link the this dude's remake because it was what made me realize just how great of a song it really is. Anyway, the video speaks for itself.

Lady's Tears II- Shadow Hearts: FTNW

This game has been criticized by many people for not being as dark as Covenant and the original. That's ridiculous. About 2/3 of the way through the game the shit hits the fan and the game becomes ridiculously sadistic and dreary. This song best exemplifies the true nature of the game. It starts out chaotic and menacing then at the 2:57 mark it undergoes a metamorphosis and becomes absolutely beautiful and moving- especially for those who have played the game. The emotion and circumstances of the battle help elevate this song to levels beyond what it already is.

The Zone Of The Enders 2 song is really good. I've been wanting to get that game for a while now.

I loved the original, sadly I've only played the demo and rented the game and I don't have a PS2 anymore.

Neat.

ZoE2 is great, whatchutalkinbout Willis?

I was impressed with the Wind Waker theme

Yeah, that guy must really like the Wind Waker theme.

For the record- I totally care about ZOTE 2nd Runner. One of my favs, the battle music with Leo Steinbuck and his Vic Viper has an awesome, driving intensity.
