Site's been slow for you? Yeah, us too.

We have been running over our logs and settings and are in contact with our host as well to try to sort out exactly what is going on.

Please be patient. Your calls are very important to us. Have you considered buying an extended warranty? *shakes head* Sorry, went in to call center mode for a second.

We know just how important this site is to you guys. Personally, it means the world to me to have this site up and running well for everyone to experience. We hope to have everything running better very soon.

Don't forget to keep it on channel 3! (Even if there is a little static every now and then.)

Glad to hear that you guys are on the case!

@Duke.Togo: Really, you're glad? Aren't Bickman and Shadown usually the causes of the site crashing? Tongue

anything we can do to help ?

@Crabmaster2000: They sure have a better idea about how to fix things than I ever would.

I imagine the site was overloaded when they installed the Bil-o-meter.

Ok, so my weekly editorial wasn't outright rejected! I was wondering there for a moment after I submitted it last night if maybe I was on suspension. If my beloved asked I was going to say the Government shutdown hit us harder than we thought. :/

Looks like it's running a lot better now than the past few days... don't know if the host fixed what was going on or not. Let us know if it comes back.

this kind of hiccup would not occur w/ current gen hardware.

With the site's performance lately, I was a bit worried it was falling victim to another hacker.

@noiseredux: We're going to move it off the Commodore 64 very soon.

Well, that's a relief. I thought the slowdown was from all the trojan- and malware-laden porn I've been watching lately. For science.

I seem to be running ok now. Anyone else seem to be back to normal?

@bickman2k: I would def consider upgrading to an Amiga. yeah.

@bickman2k:
Commodore 128 here we come!

The new Nintendo direct feed is sucking the life out of our site. They need idea updates in real time. Sincerely, Thanksforthe2DS

@Zagnorch: Yea I am in the same boat.  The stuff we do for science.

As much as the world has changed, our still somewhat niche spot as gamers has adapted to the times as well as the games. We have created our online museum of our past. We share our experiences about the present. And we will evolve together as the gaming community continues to change. I hope to write about some of my experiences with gaming, as well as on some topics that were not directly relevant to me, but to the community or you personally.
