Bear with me if the format just isn't right, considering that this is my first blog post.

As I was physically reorganizing my collection tonight, something really struck me.  As I was aligning consoles with games on their respective shelves, I realized that I really didn't need or want to display a NES console on that shelf.  I want to display the controller that I enjoyed for so many hours.  Yes, I liked my NES in the 80's. but I loved my NES Advantage.  It really does bother me that I left it stashed in a box when I joined the Army.  So much of my stuff was missing by the time I got back home, and my NES and accessories were part of the missing.  For years I convinced myself that a controller meant nothing, but the moment I held another NES Advantage  and enjoyed another great game, I realized how wonderful an "accessory" can be.  Do you have a favorite controller, gun, etc.?  Tell me about it.

My favorite NES pad is still the orignal one that came with the system. There are MANY that I havnt had the luxury to try out yet though so that may easily change.

One of my favoite game pads of all time though is the Sega Saturn controller. It like a more comfortable SNES pad and we all know the SNES pad rules!

I still contend that the original SNES pad is the most comfortable, most natural controller I've ever used.  Next would be the stock Xbox 360 controller, followed by the Dreamcast.  Saturn is up there too.

I've never felt comfortable with the original Genesis controller, the placement of the PSP analog nub has kept me from playing some of the best games on the system, and I know it's heresy to some, but I have yet to feel comfortable with any of the Playstation DualShocks.  Dunno what it is, I've spent countless hours on each iteration, and I still don't like them very much.

Brilliant post. I hold that the NES advantage is the best home arcade stick  less than 100$ easily.

Other than that, i cannot count the amount of time i have spent defending my favorite controller: the Xbox "Duke". I am by no means a big dude, but it fit well in my hands. The analog sticks design was amazing...the length was perfect and the partial concavity gave it a gripable space while still keeping it rounded for fighters and such.
