7/10 games down now. Added Vay to my list of accomplishments yesterday morning. It was great from start to end. Not a dull moment throughout. I had no expectations going in and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of humor scattered throughout the game, fantastic music, and the battle system was standard but super fast so battles didnt feel like a chore. The final dungeon was BRUTAL and I'm really glad I was able to finish off the last boss on my first attempt (barely) because I would have had to replay approx 4 hours to get back to him. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Sega CD game to play.

Also been logging a fair amount of time into FFVIII. Just started the 3rd disc. Still not really feeling it. The story is getting slightly more interesting than it was when I started, but the battle system is horrible and driving your airship around the world map looking for things is a massive headache. I'm still going to try and see it through to the end, but its not shaping up to be very memorable.

Gex will most likely be my next target.

Here are some of my favorite tunes from Vay if anyone was curious:

Wow.  This makes me wish I played Vay when I had it...

While it certainly wasn't my favorite, I've always found FFVIII to be sporadically good.  I loved the intro sequence (still my favorite FF intro), the first SEED battle (with the spider boss and the deus ex machina at the end with Quistis), some of the early scenes against Edea, Diablos (I had an obscene amount of fun with him), and that is about it.  The games battle system was too annoying, the main character was too hard to like, and the way the story switches back and forth with Laguna is just too jarring.

Kudos to you for slogging through this game, Crab.  Luckily there are gems like Vay to help you along the way.  But seriously dude, you should get a medal when you complete FFVIII...

You sir, are a better man than I...

Fighting through a FF game is commendable. FF games are way too long to play if you arnt enjoying yourself every step of the way.

Vay always looked interesting. If i ever get the chance...it looks like it is worth the playthrough

I'm stuck on Seifer on the end of Disc 3 of FFVIII and really giving a lot of thought to just giving up on the game.
