at GDC '09 quite a few interesting things have shown up gamewise. I found the biggest suprise to be the announcement of a new console. A console like no other, a console that relies purely on DLC as its main media. Without further adu take a look at the console:

I think it will be quite a console to play.

One word: Phantom

I don't like this idea because of the strong collector in me. I don't feel right paying money for something I can't physically own. Plus, depending on the size of the games, you are still streaming over 3g at best. Only 1GB of flash means these are not state-of-the-art games. Some of the launch titles that are supposed to launch with the system include Action Hero 3-D, Evil Prey, and Quake. $250 for a box that plays Quake. Not for me.

At least not until Target clearances them out...

Agree.
Its either not going to see the light of day.
Or come out suck and pave the way for more similair technologies.
I hate dload games because there is nothing physical to have.
They have no real value.

@Izret101: This is exactly right. The only downloadable games I have are XBLA games, and even those I have purchased with cards I got for cheap. I don't even like paying for DLC.

Apparently the Zeebo is targeted toward developing countries, so don't expect to see this here in the States anytime soon.
