I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is a point and click adventure horror game. It skips the typical jump scares and gore and goes straight for an unsettling look at human suffering...and machines that rise up to kill us all! It's based on the story by Harlan Ellison and he even voices the misanthropic computer, AM, who is responsible for humanity's downfall and the suffering of the game's protagonists. This is a grim game, but one with excellent writing and characterization.

I remember being so intrigued by the title of this game that i had to buy the original book to see what it was all about. Great read, recommended!

yeah I played this a few years back, and read the short story at the same time. This is a fantastic and creepy adventure game. One that can be brutally frustrating to actually play at times, but is totally worth experiencing (assuming you save a lot).

Totally worth it for the story, but like noise said brutally unforgivable.  I kind of stink at these games, so who knows.

I found this game at Goodwill last year and grabbed it due to the unique title. After watching your review I'll have to make some time to play this game. Thanks!

@bombatomba: It is rather tough, especially at the end. And I don't think the game was great about letting you know what you should be doing (or why) in a lot of cases.

this is one of those games where I walkthrough shouldn't make you feel bad. If that's what it takes to get to experience it, then go for it!

Well, this one is going on my wish list...
