As some of you may (or may not) be aware, I recently acquired a 5200. Now that I have one, I've come to a decision: I'm going to build a complete 5200 Library. Easy, right? Don't count on it! While there's less than 100 Games (69 to be exact), and while most of them are cheap and really common, there are a few rare ones which command premium prices. Needless to say, when the time comes to get those games, I may have to resort to reproductions. Why? Well, money is tight these days, and as long as a physical cartridge is in my hand, I consider it a part of my collection, even though many wouldn't. Besides, it's obvious that the majority of my collection would be the real thing. Also, the way I see it, if I could get 100 NES Games, then I can certainly get 69 Atari 5200 Games. Smiley

Games Owned: 7 out of 69

*Waiting for Zag to make the obligatory 69 joke*

Well, Redd, that is a very controversial choice, which naturally means I have to support you. Smiley

I would love to see some sort of feature from you record gameplay from your new 5200 game.  I know for most of use time is the least possessed commodity (also you might not have a capture device), but I would certainly love it, as I've never seem most of the 5200 games in action.

I actually know very little about the 5200 or 7800 game wise.  I even struggle with original Atari but I still know what games I love and cherish on the system.  I would love to see you complete this task.  Never realized there was only 69 titles for the system.

Also on a side note i want to buy a 7800 just for one game a friend showed me.  It is called ninja golf and it looks amazing,  if you already own a 7800 you should pick it up just because it looks that cool.

Good luck on your hunt, Redd. I have some 5200 games and a store around here sells a few if you are ever looking for something in particular.

@Duke.Togo:
I have close to half of the library in duplicates right now. Grin

@Tadpole13:  Totally agree with you.  Even through there are some real gems amongst the arcade translations (and Scrapyard Dog), Ninja Golf is just so unique the 7800 is worth it just for that.

@bombatomba:

I actually have all the time in the world, but I'm lacking a Capture Device that can capture RF Video. I doubt there even is such a thing. :/

@ReddMcKnight:Should be able to use a analog capture card for a PC.  I have one (and old ATI Rage card) but it is for a AGP interface (which I don't have anymore Sad ).

@ReddMcKnight: What a lot of people do to capture video from the really old systems is they just record what they're capturing on their DVR. There was a video awhile back where AVGN went in depth into his process for capturing and editing and I remember him mentioning that he always uses a DVR to record everything.

Redd, I also have a store around me that has several 5200 games (loose).  Let me know what you are looking for and I might be able to help you out.
