1 of 3 collection shelves in my game room, this houses a handful of my favorite
games, along with a large number that I've only recently acquired.

If you are into collecting games, you've undoubtedly seen the abbreviation of "CIB" thrown around quite a bit.  For the uninitiated, or as a refresher, that's gamer-speak for "Complete In Box."  As a collector, you'll have to decide whether or not you want to collect loose games, mostly to play, or complete games, for any number of reasons.  You may like the whole package because of the history of games, and the fact that most console games in today's world don't come with manuals.  Perhaps you'd like to replicate the experience of being a child, opening the game, and reading through the manual before you play it.  Or, maybe it's a pride thing, and having the total package is tantamount to some kind of bragging rights.  Whatever the scenario you more closely fit, collecting complete game packages has become a trendy thing to do in gaming circles.

So as of Feb 22nd I posted a article talking about going for a complete N64 collection Boxed.  I have been stalking ebay daily since then checking out what I can get my hands on.  I actually feel as if it is a part time job with the amount of time I have spent on there looking.  I have been really picky with box condition as well which has also cost me more money then what I would want to pay on alot of these games but I am enjoying every minute of watching as my collection grows.

So during the time of that blog I only owned 12 boxed N64 games and I had about 25 on order.

Well since then I have came a long ways in a sense.
photo 2013-04-07204549.jpg

I now have 77 boxed Games total on hand not including duplicates and I have 21 more on order.

My camera sucks so I included some additional photos that can hopefully help you guys see the titles better.

photo 2013-04-07204837.jpg

I went into this collection with the mindset that only a few titles are extremely expensive as in Clayfighter 63 1/3 sculptors cut but I have learned that there are handful of titles that are going to eat away at my funds.  Two of the more pricy titles out there I do own now.

Super bowling cost me $237.50 and I already owned Clayfighter 63 1/3 sculptors cut but to get the box it ran me $500 dollars.  I have seen some better condition boxes going for around $400 now so hopefully it stays lower for the people who still need to get it and if anyone has the manual for it I would love to buy it off you.  It still hurts not having it complete.

But moving on as you can see in the photo the games are in protective sleeves.  They are pretty pricy as well but are defiantly worth it if you can afford it.  I picked up some from multiple users on ebay and realized some come in different sizes which pretty much made some of the ones I own a waste do to my OCD.  I would highly recommend purchasing them thru the Ebay user dgodkin.  His cases fit the boxes perfect and he is really easy to work with.  He also carries sleeves for the Nes, and Gameboy which fit nicely as well.

Well to finish this blog off,  I just order 2 additional shelf's on top of the two i own displayed below so once I have them I will be able to display all my games and by the time I get a complete N64 collection It will take a shelf in a half of space up.  If anyone has any questions or has any boxed n64 games up for sale or trade, let me know.

Hello, and thanks for all the comments on Part 1, 2, and 3.

I contacted the guy again, about a week later, and still no one else had bought any.

So I went back to his house and I bought all that he had left except for 6 games that I already had CIB.

Hello, and thanks for all the comments on Part 1, and 2.

I contacted the guy again, about a week later, and still no one else had bought any.

So I went back to his house and this is what I picked up in my third lot.

Most of these are near mint condition. The only flaw is the bottom right corner of Shadowgate box is dented.

Hello, and thanks for all the comments on Part 1.  I don't have as many detail pics on these b/c there are more games in this lot and I didn't want it to be too long.

Anyway,  I contacted the guy I bought the first lot from, about a week later,  and asked him if he had any left b/c I had more money. He told me the second person only bought 25 games and that he would sell me what ever I wanted for only 4.00 a piece.

So I went back to his house and this is what I picked up in my second lot.

This has been a long time coming, but here we go.  This will be Part 1 of my blogs on this find.  I didn't want to make really long so I am breaking it up into smaller parts.
Sorry for how long it is.

Sometime in Feb. I answered an add on Craigslist for Nintendo games.  He had I think like 88 CIB Nintendo games. I was really strapped for cash but I had to go look at them and see.  So I answered his ad.  And he told me I could come and look them over first since I was the first to Email him.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I showed up at his house and I was staring at 88 CIB Mostly Minty Fresh Nintendo games.

He wanted $5.00 a game.  I only had $50.00 on me so I could only buy 10 games. Although he told me if I bought 10 games he would through one in for free.

So here is what I picked out.  Final Fantasy, Ultima: Exodus, Ultima: Avatar, Popeye, Shinobi, Shortorder:Eggsplode, Three Stooges, Adventure Island II, Dungeon Magic, and Gremlins 2.  And he gave me Willow.

Here are a few pictures of the first set of games I got. I took some different angles so that you could see the condition of the games.

The maps for the Final Fantasy and others I couldn't even get them to lay flat b/c they were so crisp.

This 84 page manual had been used. I guess this is one game he played a few times.

Stay tuned b/c that was only 11 of the 63 games that I bought from this guy. I got 52 more to show you as I went back 3 more times.
