- All proceeds for the game went towards Sport Aid in 1988 which was lower key than the original one in 1986. Sport Aid was to help raise money towards famine relief in Africa along with Live Aid.
- The athlete on the front cover was American, Frederick Carlton "Carl" Lewis who competed for the USA at the Olympics and World Championships from 1984 to 1993 winning Gold in various Sprint events and the long jump.
