Overview:

Back of Box

One lone hawk, seven deadly strongholds.

Dawn launch. Straits of Hormuz. Persian Gulf. Enemy forces have captured seven key military bases, cutting off the major oil supplies of the free world. It's up to you to respond.
Fly a McDonnell Douglas VTOL BA Harrier, the victorious hawk of the Falklands War. Your weapons: cannon, incendiary bombs, heat-seeking air-to-air and air-to-ship Exocet missiles, and defensive anti-missile flares. Your opponents: MiG 21 fighters. Your mission: Destroy all seven bases without losing your carrier.

One If By Land. Dive-bomb a rocket base. Dodge enemy guns and MiG 21 fighters as you swoop low over missile silos and barracks to unload your explosive cargo. Nothing like a quick, destructive bombing sortie before breakfast.

Two If By Sea. Rendezvous with your carrier in hostile waters. Hover, land for repairs, and resupply your four weapons systems and courage. Only six more bases to go. Your mother said there'd be days like this.

Three If By Furious Air Combat. Check your radar for enemy MiGs and engage. Drop flares to distract heat-seeking air-to-air missiles, then counter-attack with your own. Be sure to shoot down every low-flying Exocet- or your carrier is history.
