Title: Need For Speed Most Wanted Post by: InvadErGII on October 30, 2012, 02:45:23 PM It occurred to me today that with the release of the new Need For Speed Most Wanted, it will be the second unique title to bear that name this generation. My first thought, other than how lazy and unimaginative EA is, was how the RFG database will handle it. Will there be a way to distinguish the two outside of looking at the release year and other data? Is there an existing example of this sort of thing I'm not aware of?

Um, I'd guess that we could put a (2012) at the end of the new one to distinguish them. It's not officially the title, but it would allow us to distinguish between the two. Thanks EA! That's what we've done in the past in the few instances this has happened before. Um, I'd guess that we could put a (2012) at the end of the new one to distinguish them. Need For Speed Most Wanted[2012] seems to work for me. I would avoid adding the year to the actual title field unless there's absolutely no other way. Alternatively, just take the time to look at the year of release. Not that hard, really, and only takes a second. If people "accidently" fail to add the correct game to their collection because they cannot look at the year of release, then they probably shouldn't be using a computer anyway. The Old game is listed as NFS Most Wanted The New one is listed as NFS: Most Wanted TA lists is as Most wanted (2012) which to me makes the most sense given that EA has none when it comes to naming sequels.
