I had a Genesis cart (Ishido: the Way of the Stones) that I couldn't get to work. I cleaned that sucker till the contacts were gleaming and all I kept getting was a black screen. Today on a whim I tried it using a Game Genie and I'll be damned if it didn't fire up on the first try. I have no idea why if my Genesis won't read the cart that the Game Genie should make a difference, but it did. Might be worth a try if you have any Genny carts you think are dead. Some of the older Genesis games don't work on model 2 or 3 systems. I don't know if Ishido is one of those games. I know a few of the early EA games are link that.
