Title: Spyware is EVIL Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 17, 2004, 09:21:21 AM I just thought I'd clarify to all of you that Spyware is, in fact, EVIL. I hate it, and you should too. My sisters are incompetent to say the least, and in spite of my many warnings, have managed to get Spyware in every nook and cranny of their PC's. Now, I get to remove it.
One of the programs, which I had on my PC once and can apparently be gotten by simply viewing the wrong popup, is called Cool Web Search. It has 25 or 30 different variations, and is nearly impossible to remove without reformatting. There is a program that is made to destroy Cool Web Search and ONLY Cool Web Search. Yes, this ONE Spyware program is so bad that it requires its own removal program... which can't always remove it anyway. So, I now have all of the following trying to remove or block Spyware programs: Cool Web Search Shredder Ad-Aware Professional SpyBot 1.3 Spyware Blaster Spy Cleaner Ad-Watch 3.0 Spy Sweeper Norton Anti-Virus Corporate Edition Zero Popup Google Toolbar It's out of hand. Somebody needs to make this trash illegal. It's an invasion of my pravacy, and it causes my computers to stop functioning. All of my internet securities are set to their highest settings, and I have even tried using other web browsers. Nothing can stop this garbage. I HATE SPYWARE. It has so many viruses/spyware, that it takes 30 minutes to load up any random page. I haven't even attempted to touch it yet because I fear it.

Before internet comes on, Norton, Sygate, and Spybot SD show up for the party, update and get their shit together.

I would also make sure to use a saw or other serrated blade so there is more tearing action. In the event that I couldn't make the parents watch in person, I would send them a video.

I had the same problem with our "family" computer because of my little bro. I guess the problem of having to reformat due to undermaintence of a computer due to general incompetence of its owner is common. [smiley=laugh.gif] i have to reformat the "family" computer tomarrow morning because it is full of hijackers, redirectors, toolbars, viruses, spyware ect. They got something on there that actually stops my Norton, Ad-aware, Spybot Search and Destroy even the scandisk for a improper shutdown. >:( |
