Title: Breaking Bad Finale - *PROBABLY SPOILERS*
Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on September 29, 2013, 11:32:33 PM
Anyone else watch this? I thought it was a pretty good ending but I would have liked just a little more closure on some of the characters.

Just a freaking clip montage of where everyone ends up would have been perfect...

After a week of doing my best to avoid spoilers, I got to watch it last night.
I agree though, I want to know what happened to Brock, Saul and Jesse.

Yeah.

The last podcast was pretty interesting. I haven't listened to any others, so maybe they're all this enlightening, but the head writer gives a lot of insight about the ending and possible endings. Worth a listen if you ain't doing anything.

I wish I had known they had a podcast before now. I'll put it in my podcast rotation, not sure if I'll go back to the old ones though.
Have you watched the Talking Bad series? The last episode of that had some good extras about what happened. Vince Gilligan gave a really good explanation of Walt leaving his watch on the payphone.

No, I'll have to check that out.

I thought the finale was pretty much perfect. While I'm curious what may have happened to Jesse, Skyler, etc., I think the show was truly about Walt, and the story ended with his death.

Realistically, I feel like while Walt died feeling like he got what he wanted, the future for the other characters isn't so cut and dry. Skyler may not get a plea deal; Flynn may not accept the money when he turns 18; Jesse may start using again. But at least for Walt, in his final moments, he made everything "right". I couldn't have been happier.
