Title: Super Auctions in Milwaukee
Post by: NESJunkie on March 15, 2005, 05:32:17 AM
March 26th Super Auctions will be in Milwaukee. If you don't know what they are check them out at www.superauctions.com

I am going to be looking to get a cheap add on to my arcade machine corner in my basement, or maybe a pinball machine. I might go for bartop stuff too, not sure, I'd like to have a few of those. If you are in the area, check it out, I'll be there!

Looks like they are going to be in Kalamazoo in April and June.  I might drive out there to at least check this out.  I have a friend that is into pinball restoration, so this might be right up his alley as well.

Nothing comes up near the north east.
Looks pretty cool though.

I wish they would bring an auction out west. I have checked their auctions in the past and nothing ever west of TX.

def. go to super auctions
i will be at the april 30th cherry hill, nj auction

they have great prices and you can get a lot of games at a steal of a price if you know how to repair them

i saw a bunch of $10 beat up cabs that people were buying for parts

arcade machines go pretty cheap unlesss they are the ultra popular classics (read pac-man, ms. pac-man, asteroids, space invaders)

pins on the other had go for a good chunk of change...the cheapest broken ones go for around $200 with the working ones getting into the $5-900 range

i got my mario pinball machine for around $685

remember though, there is state sales tax + a 13% buyers fee

so my $685 pin cost $685 + 6% + 13%....remember this when considering how much you can spend total

they do accept credit cards which helps since you wont have to carry all that cash with you

Damn you really get nailed on your purchase!

Is that 13 percent of the price plus the other 6% tax?
If so that is even worse.

i believe it works like this....

say your in PA....it would be $685 + 19% "extra" so its 6% of $685 + 13% of $685

A 13% buyers tax huh?  That is a little like getting pimp-slapped after handing over your cash.

Oh well, I'll still go check this out.  If I could get a Punch-out cab, I would shit myself and blow my entire savings on it.
