It costs me £18 a month for a 512k connection. Gotta change my telephone from NTL, to BT - which suits me, as I was looing for an exist strategy for NTL - got shot of NTL cable t.v already. Switched gas and electric suppliers too. Changed all the utilities etc, and saved cash, these companies rely on people thinking that it is too much hassle to change to do anything about it. Phone costs £10 amonth, same as now. The calls might be more expensive, but I hardly use the phone.
