Updated: 6:23 p.m. ET June 13, 2005Michael Jackson was found not guilty Monday on all counts in his trial on child molestation charges, ending a two-year legal saga for one of the world's most well-known pop stars.

The courtroom sat silently as Judge Rodney Melville opened the jury envelopes one by one and silently read the verdict forms to himself before allowing the court clerk to read the verdict out loud. Lead defense attorney Tom Mesereau Jr. patted Jackson on the shoulder after the verdict was read. Two jurors dabbed their eyes with tissues.

I kinda expected this to be the outcome.  Michael Jackson may be a weirdo, but as far as I'm concerned, he's more of a "child" himself, than an adult who aims to molest children.  Plus his $$ tends to awaken the greedy side of most people.

Is anyone surprised?

I wouldn't be surprised if he had actually done the stuff he was acquited for, but the evidence was just lacking. I believe they just had some guys saying: 'well, yeah, that guy there, with the freaky nose, he touched me!'.

I was sure he was going to get off on all of the charges, but I definatley think he did it.  When you have that many people that have said that he did something, chances are he did.

I purposley didn't follow this trial so I can't say anything to the quality or abundance of evidence.

I bet he did it, but as many other people thought the case brought was extremely weak. I only wish he would have been  convicted on one count as it would have made the traffic guy in a local radio station dress up in a $ress twice.
