Title: Land of the Dead
Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 25, 2005, 08:13:11 AM
So, I saw Land of the Dead last night.  It was allright, but not close to being one of Romero's best.  If you're looking for a modern zombie movie, just go see the 2004 Dawn of the Dead again.

Production quality was good and all, but there was one fundamental thing that I didn't like - the zombies start thinking, communicating, and conspiring.  Totally stupid.  There were also a few things that the zombies did that were super lame.  I'd point some out but don't want to ruin anything.

Wait till this one comes to the cheapie theaters or to DVD.

Shaun of the Dead is better than Dawn of the Dead.

Well if you go back to Day of the Dead they started thinking and trying to communicate and one of them used a gun.

I agree that it wasn't one of Romero's best. But I enjoyed it.

So its as if the zombies are a living evolving species.
Sounds strange...

@Kyle - I still haven't seen Day of the Dead, so I wouldn't know.  I've been meaning to get ahold of it.

@Anthony - Yeah, pretty much.
