Well it sounds like it's there. I don't have a gameshark so I can't try it. Crazy old Rockstar, and I thought God of War had topped 'em. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Tynstar on July 15, 2005, 05:18:23 PM Why are ther no screen shots?

Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Arrrhalomynn on July 16, 2005, 01:22:20 AM I don't get all the fuss about this. It's an adult game! You're supposed to kill hookers and grannies! And then there's Hillary Clinton asking for an investigation on it. Blah, politicians.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Izret101 on July 16, 2005, 06:17:51 AM I saw it confirmed for PS2 yesterday on Attack of the Show and PC a few weeks ago on the same show i believe.
Seriously WTF is the big deal it is a game intended for adults already. So what if an adult wants to play sex minigames that are hidden into the game. I think Rockstar is going to be in trouble because they denied putting it into the PC version and said it was a hack. There is no way that Action Replay can hack the PS2 version though and add that though. It can only access what is already there. BTW here is the cheat codes you can enter to play it. Can't get friggin G4's site to load fast enough on 56k so head on over to the Attack of the Show part of the site. They said that the cheat would be posted there. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Izret101 on July 20, 2005, 02:31:49 PM I saw a small mix screenshots of the PCand PS2 version
It was pretty stupid. If GTA had amazing graphics there might have really been something to talk about. But the people just look strange IMO. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: TraderJake on July 20, 2005, 09:03:16 PM Sweet, I own an AO game. I feel dirty, very dirty. And all my friends own GTA:SA, we're all so dirty. I feel an inherent desire go play Custer's Revenge, followed by X-Man. So so dirty.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Lord Nepenthean on July 20, 2005, 10:10:31 PM I owned AO games before this. I have several for 3DO, though they are all shrinkwrapped.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: thx1138 on July 21, 2005, 04:28:26 AM And why the heck not -
why not have online versions of games, where, when in a casino, or an adult book store, have the option to visit an online casino, or mainstream porn site. I mean, in the game, you kill police officers, smuggle drugs, pick up hookers - it's hardly shock of the century that there might be some actual sex in there is it? There was a porn store / cinema in duke nuke em as I recall, graphics were a bit poor though. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: TraderJake on July 22, 2005, 01:03:38 PM It appears that the people who brought us the AO rating for GTA:SA now are targeting Maxis and their wildly popular Sims franchise, saying that the Sims is worse than the Hot Coffee content. They even mention that there are penises in the Sims 2, which is a total farse. There is no modeled male genitalia in the game, and they are only trying destroy games that are fun. The only way there would be nude sims with genitalia would be if they downloaded the nude sims skins and patch that someone else has created. So, please, evil man, please leave our games alone. I know you want to make money Mr. Lawyer, but you need not do it at the expense of the gaming public.
Sims 2 content "worse than Hot Coffee" (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/07/22/news_6129609.html) From Gamespot Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Vladimir on July 22, 2005, 05:58:27 PM As if the game needed more reasons for wigger and other loosers to buy it. -_-'
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Mike Leon on July 23, 2005, 02:16:43 PM Quote Somebody should remind them about Custer's Revenge, and how it makes GTA: San Andreas seem like an E-rated game in comparison. Sex mini-games with fully-clothed characters? Please. Over the last few days I've heard people talking about this thing all over the place and almost no one has the details right. I admit, when I first heard about the mod allowing you to have sex with the women in the game I figured it was mostly just sensationalist crap too. Then I saw the screenshots. To say the least, it's pretty graphic. I'm a real bastard when it comes to ratings on games. I sell little kids M rated games all the time. There are quite a few games that I think should have "E" ratings instead of "T" ratings. (Super Smash Bros. for instance) But after seeing exactly what's featured in GTA:SA with the Hot Coffee mod I totally agree with the ESRB on this one. It should have an AO rating. This is what I've gathered so far, based on screenshots and movies taken from the PC version of the mod: The mini-game consists of a fully-clothed (thank you Jesus) CJ banging the crap out of a naked (thank you Jesus) girl. By naked I mean naked. She's naked. You can see her boobies. You can see her......private area also. This is not some kind of graphics glitch either. There is actually a texture for her naked body, including her nipples/pubic hair/everything else (this seems to be true of the PC version but I'm not sure about the PS2 yet). CJ can have sex with her in 3 different positions; doggie-style, missionary and something else (I'm not even sure what you call it). You can push a button to change camera angles so you can view the "romantic encounter" however you wish. I'm still unclear about the actual goal of the mini-game, but there is an excitement meter on the right side of the screen. You can draw your own conclusions. I just figured I would outline the details for everyone so you know exactly what you're getting into before arguing about it either way. I'm going to get an action replay and fire this bitch up. When I've played it i'll come back here to confirm info and fill in the blanks. EDIT: Nep and I actually loaded up the mod on my PS2 and it's not nearly as bad as the video on the internet portrays. There is no nudity at all. I honestly can't say the PS2 version is worthy of an AO rating. It's not nearly as bad as The Guy Game. I can't speak for the PC version though, as the content seems to differ. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Lord Nepenthean on July 23, 2005, 08:39:53 PM I have an action replay, so we can give it a whirl. I still contend that the nude skin in those screenshots was probably added by the person who made the patch. The reports I read about the PS2 version is that the girlfriend is wearing a thong and t-shirt.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Arrrhalomynn on July 24, 2005, 08:29:44 AM Every game that uses the dual shock controller has sex in it, if you're as good with it as me. Wink wink nudge nudge.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: CatchFiveBats on July 24, 2005, 09:10:37 AM I downloaded a video of the "Hot Coffee" mod on PC off some gaming site last night.
*Evil Leon's description goes here* As for my opinion of it, Grand Theft Auto is not that good looking of a game in the first place, so I really don't see the appeal of something like this, but it's still there and it is pretty graphic (At least on PC. I don't know about PS2.). I can understand why the ESRB is flipping out about this. This IS adults-only material, and therefore should not be easily accessible to people who are not mature enough to be viewing this kind of stuff (Of course, take a look around the internet for a while and you'll see that ANYTHING is easily accessible now.). Either way, hopefully this isn't dragged out for too long, because frankly, I'm getting tired of hearing about it. Anyway, I was at Mcvan's yesterday, and these guys came in and bought GTA: San Andreas (Yes, they were 18.). As they were walking out, I could hear them talking about how they were going to buy an action replay and access Hot Coffee right when they got home. It's a sad, sad world we live in... Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Lord Nepenthean on July 24, 2005, 06:55:58 PM Let's think about this, people. M rated games are for people SEVENTEEN AND UP. AO rated games are for people EIGHTEEN AND UP. Get over it. It's one fucking year. There really shouldn't even be a distinction. One of the two ratings should never have been created.
For more on how ridiculous this still is, go here: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=ticket_to_hell Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: CatchFiveBats on July 24, 2005, 07:58:27 PM To me, it's not so much the age difference in the ratings as the fact that an AO rating has more leverage than an M rating when it comes to selling the game to minors.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on July 25, 2005, 03:22:20 PM I was thinkin. Since all the gaming stores have to clear out their used San An's does that mean we should be checking dumpsters?
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Izret101 on July 25, 2005, 07:27:04 PM No
They will have to ship them back to Rockstar at Rockstars expense i believe. Although i could be wrong. But they would not allow thousands of working extremely popular games get thrown into the garbage. These arn't copies of E.T. you know. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Sauza12 on July 26, 2005, 06:56:46 AM Quote No They will have to ship them back to Rockstar at Rockstars expense i believe. Yeah, they are just going to slap an AO sticker on all of the boxes and ship them back out. I also heard that they are going to make another run of the game that has this bit of code taken out. I've been thinking about all of this for a while, and I've come up with the following opinions. Both Rockstar and Congress should be slapped in the face and sat in the corner. First off is the obvious choice, Congress. The fact that you need a device that is meant to manipulate a games code to access this horribly offensive material should not be reason enough to give this game the equivilant of an X-rating. I don't think that giving it this rating is that bad, but the stink they are raising over this is f-ing retarded. I am going to go f-ing apeshit if I hear "it's for the children" one more God-Damned time. BLAME THE PARENTS YOU PHENOMENAL DIMWIT!!!! On to Rockstar. Frankly, this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. What was the point in leaving this code in? Were they trying to prove how big and cool they were? "We're unique rebels and we're gonna do whatever we want in our game because we answer to no one. Neener neener neeeneerrrr." Well congratulations fuckstick, you've given the entire industry a black eye. Leaving that code in accomplished nothing and was completely unneccesary. All this did was make it easier for guys like Jack Thompson to spout off about the evils of video games. I don't care if it is not accessible without the use of the Gameshark, that shit is just not done. It is very amatuerish with not even a hint of professionalism anywhere near this steaming pile. Rockstar should be ashamed of themselves. Thank you! I think they are just recalling the new games. I'm not sure what they are doing with the used games. Maybe they'll just ship out some AO stickers to retailers to put on used copies. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on July 26, 2005, 07:14:45 AM Yeah that sounds right. It was weird being in EB yesterday, the PS2 section was definitely missing something without it's two hundred copies of San An sitting there.
Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Izret101 on July 26, 2005, 07:25:39 AM I know a few of the loacl dealers here who i doubt are going to bother shipping it back out.
They will just make note of the rating change to anyone who buys the game if they even do that. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Lord Nepenthean on July 26, 2005, 08:21:12 AM I went over to the Evil Leon's last night with my Action Replay Max in hand. We entered the codes and got the minigame to work. It was utterly lame, and certainly not something to get as excited about as this. There is absolutely NO NUDITY in the PlayStation 2 version of the game. I have a very strong feeling that the guy who made the mod for the PC version of the game added a skin.
Also, does anyone remember The Guy Game? That game has REAL nude women in it, and one of them is even under the age of 18. Its rating? M for Mature. San Andreas rating with no pixelated nudity? AO. How stupid. EDIT: I totally forgot to mention BMX XXX. There's another one that I'm totally floored about. If there's anything that makes the ESRB worthless, it's that they can't be consistent. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Mike Leon on July 26, 2005, 08:58:41 AM For the record, Nep couldn't satisfy her. I had to grab the controller from him and finish the job like a real man.
P.S. BMX XXX gives me a headache if I play it for more than 10 minutes. I pretty sure it's also the only current-generation game Gamestop has ever sold NEW for $10. The ESRB is relatively useless. It seems that they only are bothing to target major games if you remember both of those sucked. GTA is a huge selling series with much more influence. Title: Re: Confirmed: Sex minigame in PS2 San Andreas Post by: Mike Leon on July 26, 2005, 06:57:05 PM I went on a rant a while ago about the ESRB's overall worthlessness.
