any Potter fans here?

I picked up the new book and have read about half so far. I won't say much about in case anyone is going to read it. I will say I really enjoy the series. I never paid attention to Harry Potter when he first hit big. I only started reading the books after I'd seen the first 2 movies on cable. I haven't been disappointed, the beginning of Goblet of Fire was a bit too much Quidditch but other than that I've been hooked.

They are pretty good books.

y mom picked up a book at the cape and has been reading it over the weakend.
She is coming back tomorrow and said she should be done with it by then.
In which case i will read thru it.

I like the movies! Does that count? I think I am going to start reading the books.

yeah that counts. I never read any of the books till I saw the first 2 movies. I really like the movies too.

I'll probably finish the book tonight. I've only got about 250 pages to go.

I fucking hate Harry Shitty Fuckwad Potter. And J.K.Crappling, and all the dickwads at Amazon, and the tossers at the publishing house. Especially whatever idiot, decided it would be a good idea to have a worldwide release on the same day.

Why?

Becuase, I am a postal worker. I have a bicycle for transport.

The sorting office on Saturday at miodninght, was swamped with thousands, of the bloody books, from Amazon.

I had 25 of the damned things to deliver.

I'm only allowed a 32lb load in a bag.

I had one helluva shitty shift on Saturday. And half of the bastards weren't in, and those that were, didn't even say thanks, and just moaned that i'd distrubed them whenthey were sleeping.


I'm not normally so negative, but the media keeps bashing the Royal Mail. They keep making undercover reports, draggins their name through the mud.

I'm honest, and hardworking, but fed up with it all, fed up with the guilt by association. My company employs over 200,000 people, plus agency workers  - it's hardly a surpise that some will be inept, or dishonest.

At our office, every single Harry Potter  book was got out, on time, along with all the other mail, very efficient.  But, of course, this logistical work of genius in all the delivery offices in the three counties area, doesn't get a mention, because it's not newsworthy.

with apologies to disgruntled postman THX I have finished the book. quite good, maybe the best of the series yet.

I have not read any of the books, and don't really care to.  I only saw the first movie and was not impressed at all.

A friend of mine read the ending of the most recent book just so he can threaten to spoil it for people.  He told me the ending.  I don't know what it means, but if anyone wants it to be spoiled, look here:

I still plan to read the book once my mom finishes it. :)

Someone on the WoW general forums posted a thread with the title "New Warrior Epic Armor" and when you got to the actual thread, it was a scanned image of the last page of the new Harry Potter book, with the last line underlined.  I laughed, but I'm sure he got flammed by just about everyone on the forums because it seems they were all planning on reading it.

I hate you 2 and myself. I have no will power. Then again it will be a long time before the movies are out so I will forget it happened by then.

I don't know much about the series, as I have never read any of them, and I havn't bothered to see the movies, but aparently this is quite interesting to Potter fans:

I saw something that struck me as kind of odd today.  I stopped at a gas station to pick up cigarettes this morning and they had this book for sale at the counter.

well gas stations are often a front to sell stolen goods. it's doubtful they purchased the books they are selling.

Oh yeah, no doubt about it.  This is one of the shadier gas stations on my way to work.

Ok, I bought this book yesterday and finished it this morning.


I'm so dissapointed. But that might be because I knew about snape and dumbledore and ginny the day it came out.

Boy am I glad that I don't read Harry Potter, because I would probably have to kill you all.  Never have I seen so many people spoil major plot points like you guys can.   :laugh:

Wheras, if you tried to spoil the plot of a Discworld novel, it wouldn't matter to me, as it's the humorous way it's written, and the construction of the sentences, the little observations of human behaviour, and the comical footnotes, that make them such a good read.

Gosh! Recently I've decided that I love Harry Potter so much that I am in fact making a Harry Potter DnD campaign for all my HP loving friends.

I'm so damn happy. <3!

I think the books are pretty good.

People still play DnD?  I thought DnD was replaced by Everquest!

I dont thinkl the fun of D&D will ever be matched in a a video game or pc and especially not evequest.

I dont play D & D anymore but I agree with that statement 100%
