Anyone played Star Wars: Battlefront 1? It's down to 20 bucks and I'm thinking of picking one up.

However, if it's not worth it, I'll save the $ and wait for SW:BF2 when it comes out Nov 1.

Battlefront 1 has sucked more multiplayer hours out of my life than any other m-player games combined. Me and a friend once played splitscreen for six hours straight. Although some new downloadable maps woulda been nice. I'd have to say (of the SW games i've played, which excludes KOTOR because i need more RAM) its the best  SW game out there. (followed by Jedi Outcast.) I'll be first in line when BF2 comes out.

Didn't they have a Jabba's Palace map download?

When you played multiplayer, was it online, 1 box,  or system link? Also, can you play against bots?

How well was vehicle combat represented? Lastly, can you play as/against Jedi?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm just looking to get as much info on the game as I can prior to purchasing. So far, it sounds very good from what you've described.

How is the online play ?

I have been wanting this for a while , but did not want to pay full price.

okay, is there some sort of trick to play using system link? we tried last night and could not figure it out. the manual is not very clear on how you set it up either.

would someone care to give the step by step Battlefront for dummies explanation?

Yeah. Last night, we were expecting to at least be able to system link 2 players per box, but couldn't figure out how to get it going. Disappointing, this is.

I was really dissapointed with SWBF1, single player was too easy to me, and I mainly bought it to play online (xbox) it lags really bad, hit detection sucks, and vehicles are extremely unbalanced. Needless to say I am waiting for reviews this time and a definite rental for SWBF2

Any online play is one player per box. Whether system link or not. I guess battlefront 2 will have multiplayers avalible on each machine online.

but if you're not playing online it's still I player per box using system link.

Thats correct, I guess I wasnt clear enough.
