Title: Caltron 6-in-1 variation
Post by: Speedy_NES on August 19, 2005, 03:31:50 AM
I just found this thread over at DP:

http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=773487#773487

Here are two Caltron auctions on eBay to compare:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NES-Nintendo-Caltron-6-in-1-Complete_W0QQitemZ8211112556QQcategoryZ62053QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8205609540&category=62053&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1

As can be seen, both Caltrons have different manuals, different back labels on the cartridges, and different sleeves!  It wouldn't surprise me if the box is different as well.

This is one expensive variation ;)

My complete Caltron is like the first one. In fact I believe it is scanned for the site.  ;)

Yea I just used the auctions for a quick comparison.  I think the latter one is definitely the rarer version, as I don't recall ever seeing another one like it. I wonder why two versions exist, though...will probably still be a while before anyone is able to answer that question.

I agree. I have seen only my version in the wild and on ebay before. I have never seen this variation ever .....

I wonder if he is relisting it or has an outside bid that he took ?
