Title: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: Vladimir on September 11, 2005, 01:11:38 PM I bought this today, hoping against hope that it wouldn't suck, but it did. Oh, did it ever suck.
Terry Bogard doesn't sound awesome in it either. They actually got him a voice actor, and he doesn't say "burn knuckle" like he used to. And the "power wave" is lack luster. I played it for about 45 minutes, then began to cry. Are there any other KOF games for the PS2? o.O Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: NDiddy on September 11, 2005, 01:40:58 PM Yeah theres 2 other ones KOF 2000/2001 and KOF 2002/2003
You get 2 games with both of these hence the titles dont know how good they are but I can at least say all are 2d titles. Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: CatchFiveBats on September 11, 2005, 05:41:10 PM Of course it sucked...it's a 3D fighter. The only good 3D fighters I know of are the Soul Calibur series. Why didn't you ask me if it was good...I could have directed you away.

Your opinion matters, just not about things you don't know anything about. Do you ever listen to me when I talk about shooters? o.O Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: CatchFiveBats on September 13, 2005, 10:41:28 AM Quote Your opinion matters, just not about things you don't know anything about. Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: VACRMH on September 24, 2005, 09:05:51 AM Eh, I had some fun with this one for awhile. Long enough to get all the stuff unlocked.
I loved Mingon or however it was spelled (Love the Catgirl outfit :D) Now the voices.... definately should have given an option for Japanese. It was good for awhile, but after I finished it, I haven't gone back once :( Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: -hellvin- on September 28, 2005, 11:59:29 PM I think this is the worst game I have ever witnessed played. My friend has it and he was showing me the horror of it a little while ago. First of all, this retarded clown introduces each fighter before the match and the animation of all the characters and voice acting is HORRIBLE. I think the funniest part is Kyo. He has a super move where he says "TRY THIS ON FOR SIZE!!!".
Well....you can delay the move by holding down punch so if you do that it ends up like this: "TRY THIS.........." 5 seconds pass...... "ON FOR SIZE!!!" Stupidest thing I've ever seen. Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on September 29, 2005, 03:28:37 PM The only good 3d fighting game are the Bushido Blade's. Tekken's O.K.

Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: phoenix1967 on September 29, 2005, 08:41:44 PM Can Bushido Blade be played on the PS2? If so, are there any system requirements prior to doing so (i.e.PS1 controller, PS1 mem card)?
Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: CatchFiveBats on September 30, 2005, 10:47:52 AM You can play it on a PS2. The only thing you need is a Memory Card if you want to save, and you can use a PS2 controller with it.

So do you need a PS1 memory card or can you just use a PS2 memory card? Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: Vladimir on September 30, 2005, 01:12:54 PM You guys seem tto have forgotten Soul Calibur.
Title: Re: King of Fighters - Maximum Impact Post by: CatchFiveBats on September 30, 2005, 01:27:58 PM Quote So do you need a PS1 memory card or can you just use a PS2 memory card? Whoops! I meant to say "PS1 Memory Card." You can store PS1 save files on a PS2 memory card by transferring them, but you can't save PS1 games directly to a PS2 memory card and vice versa. And PS2 files won't even fit on a PS1 memory card, so don't even try that. :P |
