Title: Dollar store games
Post by: Sauza12 on September 20, 2005, 07:41:09 AM
If any of you have a "Deal$" dollar store by yopur house, I recommend you go there NOW.  They currently have in stock brand new and sealed Game Gear and Genesis games.  You're not going to find anything rare, but they are brand new.  Here's what I got at the one I went to:

Aladdin
Caesar's Palace
Lion King
Ms. Pac-man
Sonic Spinball
(Above all Game Gear)
Coach K Basketball
NFL Quarterback Club '96
(Genesis)

I'm not sure if there are anymore games that are available as the one that I went to looked like someone beat me to the games, but these should be there for sure.
They had several more copies of Caeser's Palace, Aladdin, Lion King, Sonic Spinball, and Quarterback Club.  If anyone wants, I can go back and grab some for you.

btw, all of the Game Gear games are the Majesco re-releases except for Ms. Pacman.

We don't have any Deal$ in my area but I did some checking and found out they are owned by Save-A-Lot.  Since there is a Save-A-Lot right next to one of my regular Thrift Store stops I think it may be worthwhile making sure they don't have the same deal.  It's unlikely but worth a check.

I stopped at Deal's last night and got Alladin and Caesar's Palace. They had a lot of those dollar PC games too. I got one called Toyland Racer.

I also grabbed 3 VHS cartoons that had games based on them. Two episodes of Stone Protectors and one of Bucky O'Hare.

For my daughter I picked up a Scooby Doo book shaped like the Mystery Machine.

As an added bonus I stopped at a bargain book store on the way back and found a book I've been looking for for a few months.
