Title: question for the Cinci crew?? Post by: den68 on September 20, 2005, 12:54:46 PM A friend of mine is looking for something autographed by former Cincinatti Red Dave Concepcion.
Ebay's got a bunch of baseball cards but he would like something that displays better, a bat, ball or at least a nice 8x10 glossy. any sports collectible shops around you guys that might have something like this? thanks Title: Re: question for the Cinci crew?? Post by: TraderJake on September 20, 2005, 02:48:04 PM That's a really good question that I don't know the answer, and sadly I doubt that Mike, Eddie or Jay will know as well. I can think of two collectibles places around here, but I don't believe there would be anything those stores quite to the caliber of that.

Title: Re: question for the Cinci crew?? Post by: den68 on September 21, 2005, 04:42:59 AM I will. It can't hurt to ask though. The Yellow Pages won't be able to tell me if a place is good or a rip-off though.

The Yellow Pages won't be able to tell me if a place is good or a rip-off though. But if you find a few places maybe you can send the crew over there to check out the place and get the goods. Title: Re: question for the Cinci crew?? Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on September 21, 2005, 01:18:07 PM Well my uncle has one and he won't part with it, so...I guess this a senseless post.
Title: Re: question for the Cinci crew?? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on September 22, 2005, 10:32:06 AM Like TraderJake already indicated, I would have no idea what to tell you. I know of some collectible shops, and I'm sure somebody has something like that here since he was part of the Big Red Machine. Old people reminisce about the days when the Reds were good, and young people just ignore the team entirely.
Anyway, I wish I could help you. Even if I told you the places that I know of that sell memorbilia, I wouldn't be able to tell you if they are good deals or not as I know nothing about sports collectibles... so I am of no help. Sorry! If Rick (shady tool) was still around, he would probably have the best idea of any Cincinnati RF Gen member. I don't think he has stopped by in a while though. Try posting in the Fantasy Football league. He may check that. |
