Title: NES SP Ports Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 08, 2004, 08:25:03 AM I know that several of you had been talking about getting the GBA NES ports when they came out, and I know for a fact that at least Laurel did get them. Any opinions of the port quality? Are they worth the money you spent on them? Laurel tells me the carts are the same grey color as NES carts were, and that they have labels that mimic the NES counterpart labels. Cool factor 99 right there, if ya ask me.
Title: Re: NES SP Ports Post by: Antimind on June 08, 2004, 07:11:16 PM Actually Mike, the labels don't mimic the NES counterparts. The labels on all of the carts are black and have the name of the game in the game's proper text as it should be. The carts are in fact grey though.
I will be scanning everything. Boxes, carts, manuals, GBA and putting up a section on my subdomain (prolly sometime tonight) with everything on it. The games do stay true to the NES version and as far as I'm concerned are worth paying for if you love the NES and must have everything and anything that reminds you of better times :girl: Title: Re: NES SP Ports Post by: BadEnoughDude on March 12, 2009, 12:12:34 AM Gotta agree with everyone else here. I've enjoyed the ones that I've had the opportunity to play. Last time I checked, they were mostly available CIB for good prices (with the exception of Super Mario Bros. and one other, maybe Donkey Kong?). Some were less than $10 sealed.

I have been able to grab GBA games for .97-4.97 over the last month or 2. Title: Re: NES SP Ports Post by: Izret101 on March 12, 2009, 09:21:53 PM Since no RFGeners live near me or my hunting grounds.
Check out sears, walmarts clearance(for failed systems mostly edutainment/guitar/music/dvd/netjet/etc), JC Penny outlet(i picked up March of the Minis 2 there for 12 bucks about 3 years ago), certain PC/Office oriented stores also carry video games too. Think outside the box when game hunting ;) Title: Re: NES SP Ports Post by: den68 on March 20, 2009, 09:10:11 AM Some of them are pretty cheap at Gamestop too. Of course it will be cart only though. I know Xevious and Ice Climber are only $3.99.
Title: Re: NES SP Ports Post by: Izret101 on March 20, 2009, 10:38:26 AM Here is a very generic search for you on eBay.
They can be had relatively cheaply but it is a matter of looking and waiting ;) http://shop.ebay.com/items/__NES-classic-GBA_W0QQQ5ftrkparmsZ72Q253A1205Q257C66Q253A2Q257C65Q253A12Q257C39Q253A1QQ_dmptZVideoQ5fGamesQ5fGamesQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQ_sopZ1QQ_scZ1 Really surprised people are bidding Mario over 20$s though. Most of the rest of them look like they can be had for sub 10$s relatively easily Title: Re: NES SP Ports Post by: gamepopper101 on March 29, 2009, 09:27:57 AM They aren't bad, but I don't think they are good
