Title: Is anyone else sick & tired of radio/TV " Post by: phoenix1967 on September 30, 2005, 05:36:20 AM With the MSU-UM game coming up tomorrow, it seems that there's been an abundance of "smack-offs" lately on sports radio. So much so, that whenever it comes up, I change the channel. It was so bad, I even ended up on NPR the other day.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that "smack-offs" are the most boring thing that they can put on radio? Title: Re: Is anyone else sick & tired of radio/TV &q Post by: Tynstar on September 30, 2005, 07:00:43 AM The Smack offs on the Jim Rome show can be funny but othe rthen that no thanks.

Jim Rome... UGH! he get's some great interviews that are interesting. I hate the clones. his show is unlistenable when the listeners are calling in. It was a very close game. Title: Re: Is anyone else sick & tired of radio/TV &q Post by: bickman2k on March 26, 2006, 02:35:27 PM Rome is not so bad. The recent shows where they were interviewing the parent of the autistic boy who busted out for 20 were very emotional and great. Even the callers were respectful and had some very good calls.

Jim Rome: "Kevin Harvick is a class act................He's a great guy..............Kevin Harvick is one of the nicest guys you can talk to...................Kevin Harvick is great to talk to................He's a nice guy..........etc." How many times can he tell us the same thing in a slightly different way? By the way, that line would have eaten up a good 15 minutes of his show time.
