Title: Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2
Post by: captain_nintendo on October 04, 2005, 06:40:23 AM
So me tynstar and another forum member (from DP I think) Started playing PSO for the Gamecube online last night. For me and Scott (tynstar) , this will be our second time back from a long lay off of playing this game online.

Its a great game and only makes me wonder about the Gamecube and why they didnt use online games more often  :( I think all 3 of us have the keyboard controller combo and its a great controller ! I find myself using it for playing other GC games as well.

If you have played PSO for the Cube or the Xbox , feel free to chime in.  ;)

Wow that's weird.  I was getting burnt out on PS 2 so I started playing Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 last night also.

I've played it before on the Dreamcast a year or two ago.  Last night I only got to forest 2, and beat a giant dude before I quit for the evening.

It is the 3rd time back for me.   ;)

I had a lot of fun playing it. A lot of people say it is just a dumb version of Everquest but thats what I like about it. It is not all that hard to pick up. Plus it is under 9 bucks a month and the 1st month is free.

I brought you back to life , healed you , casted shifta and Deband so fast you didnt know what happened. Sorry I let you die though. It is kind of tough casting resta when a photon blast is being used (I assume thats what happened).

Or I was getting hit by that damn Barantz as well :-[

Played PSO again last night and had a blast.

I must say that in order to do really well online you must "know your role" ;)

As a ranger you must shoot everything and know what gun to use.

As a fighter you must get in there and do all of the nasty fighting

As a mage you must cast spells to aid your friends. Support , support , support !!!!!!
Casting attack spells should be a secondary concern.

Somehow I feel like I am forgetting a class  :-[

But then there are all types of races that have different abilities as well.

I must say though , that Scott and I are like peanut butter and jelly. When we play alternating characters. (if I am a mage then he is a ranger or fighter and vice versa) We know what to do to help the other person out.

Playing with different people can be wierd because you think "what the hell are they doing"  :P

But even still it is cool to have new blood in the party  :D
