Title: what is it? Post by: Izret101 on October 17, 2005, 04:38:57 PM http://www.whatis-it.com/
Saw a commercial for it on TV and was actually somewhat interested so i check out the site. I dunno what it could be. I know of no new or major advances in anything coming out in the next 2 days The only things i could think of are not coming out the 20th unless i am sadly mistaken. Title: Re: what is it? Anyways, I don't know what it is, but I will prolly get one when the price drops. Title: Re: what is it? Title: Re: what is it? Post by: Hydrobond on October 17, 2005, 07:17:12 PM Quote What is it? Its a joke. Not likely. It's been advertized on national TV, so there has to be some corporate sponsorship behind this. Title: Re: what is it? Title: Re: what is it? Post by: Hydrobond on October 20, 2005, 04:03:12 AM Ok, so "it" was finally released today. Turns out that "it" is any item listed on ebay. The slogan on their site now reads "Whatever it is, you can find it on ebay."
Title: Re: what is it? Post by: Izret101 on October 20, 2005, 10:59:50 AM Yea what a joke.
eBay you didn't have to spend that much moiney to get people to use features you alerady had. Silly silly marketing persons. I like the song commercials better for ebay. Title: Re: what is it? Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on October 20, 2005, 01:13:39 PM Duh, the last few seconds say that "it" can be anything and you should buy "it" from e-bay whatever "it" may be. South Park should sue.
Title: Re: what is it? Post by: den68 on October 21, 2005, 05:33:23 AM I saw the commercial last night. when it turned out to be ebay all I could say was "that figures".
Title: Re: what is it? Post by: TraderJake on October 21, 2005, 02:36:03 PM I saw the commercial last night too, and when I saw what it was an ad for, I felt very stupid, and the "Buy it on eBay!" jingle kept reverberating in my head. Indirect Advertising is interesting, IKEA does indirect advertising through a website that humorously goes after the Swedish Magnate.
