He is now claiming the PS3 will run at 120 FPS. Guess what Kutaragi? There are no televisions currently on the planet that can support this, and NO HUMAN EYE THAT CAN SEE AT THIS RATE.

They arn't even trying to hide the fact that it is going to cost a shitload. Infact it seems that Sony believes that the fact the console is going to cost more it is a sort of marketing ploy in and of itself. You could technically get 120hz, vsynced, on a monitor that supports that refresh rate. But yeah, who's gonna be using their PS3 on a monitor. When the polygon count is high, and the framerate drops, you would still be above the 30fps of modern televisions and the slowdown is not noticed.
Being able to decode 10 HDTV signals at once is extremely impressive though. |
