Title: Illbleed for DC and Jaleco & more Post by: Izret101 on November 01, 2005, 03:52:21 PM I am going through my games and updating some info in the database.
Illbleed for DC use to have Jaleco for the Publisher. I see Jaleco no where on the manual GD or case. Which leads me to believe this previous info was false. But because i am a curious individual i figured i would ask. Does anyone own a copy of the game that has Jaleco's name on it anywhere? Also just got to Soul Fighter for DC. There are a few companies on here with copyrights but i can find nothing suggesting the game may have been produced by Mindscape as was previously indicated. Anyone have a copy that says Mindscape anywhere on it??? and again for Spirit of Speed 1937. Mine was published by Ljn which i know is/was a subsidiary of Acclaim but does anyone have a copy published by Acclaim? Title: Re: Illbleed for DC and Jaleco & more Post by: Lord Nepenthean on November 02, 2005, 04:27:52 AM Illbleed was published by AIA Games. Originally, it was to be published by Jaleco, and may have been published by them in Japan. I don't know why or when the game changed hands, but that is where that error came from.
Soul Fighter was published by Mindscape. That one is not an error. You are correct about LJN. They would be a more accurate publisher than Acclaim, though in some ways (LJN was after all a subsidary at the time - dunno about now) both are co-publishers. I would just change it to LJN. Title: Re: Illbleed for DC and Jaleco & more Post by: Izret101 on November 02, 2005, 10:36:39 AM I checked everywhere on the Soul Fighter though.
Manual credits, copyrights, CD, Case no mention of Mindscape... Red Orb Entertainment have got to be the producers. The only other possibility i can see on my copy for a producer would be TLC Multimedia. I just checked and the Euro version was also published by Red Orb. Thanks for clearing up the other 2 for me :) Title: Re: Illbleed for DC and Jaleco & more Post by: Lord Nepenthean on November 02, 2005, 05:57:08 PM http://www.allgame.com/cg/agg.dll?p=agg&SQL=GIH||||18670

They are listed as the developer on every site I have checked so far (a lot as you can see), but you have not mentioned their company being on the game. As you can see, all of the sites above also list the Publisher as Mindscape. Perhaps they are all wrong and you've found their error, but those are some pretty big sites to go against. What I would suggest is checking the instruction manual. I'll keep looking to see what else I can find, and when I go back to my parents' house tomorrow I'll check my copy of the game.
