Guys n gals.. Has anyone played both? I finished the Cube version but i wanted to know if the graphics gameplay etc were as good on PS2? I know you get the extra Adia missions in the PS2 version (Which i am truley gutten about) Is it as good considering the PS2 is so inferior??

Well it is.... Trust me if you saw some of the GC games... Like the re make of resident evil... There is not a chance in hell it would work on PS2

Game Informer rated both the Cube and PS2 versions a 10. But...........


If you look at side by side comparisons of the game you would see the Cube version looks better. Mind you , the PS2 version looks good. But the Cube version looks great.


I really wouldnt call the PS2 version garbage is pretty much what I am getting at.

But I own the Cube version and love it. I just cant make myself buy the PS2 version just for a few extras  ::)

It looks better because in all actuality GCN is a more powerful system but that is rarely flaunted.

Saying the true doesn't mean fanboy. I am a Sega fanboy, but I hate them for the european version of Sonic Gems Collection by removing the european soundtrack in Sonic CD and replace it by the horrible American one.

I usually insult Nintendo unduly.

Honestly i should have worked an insult into that fact because it is pretty stuid of Nintendo not to push the system to the limits graphicaally nearly enough.

Nintendo's just being humble...I'm getting so freaking tired of Microsoft being all like "OMG LOOK HOW AWESOME WE ARE OUR GRAPHICS ARE TEH PWN WORSHIP US!!!" and although that may be true, that's about all they have going for them.  Nintendo has plenty of games on the 'cube that look awesome, they just don't throw it in everyone's faces because they know how not to be annoying as hell.  There's a different between smart marketing and overkill...and Microsoft has reached overkill and a little more.

Although I think Nintendo could have put a little more into their advertising, they didn't because they wanted to put that money into games.  Smart decision, IMO.

Nintendo scewed themselves with lack of advertising and not trying to flaunt what they had. Thats why they lost this round of the console wars.

The general public wants what looks good. Not what is humble and wastes the systems power.

At least the DS is doing really well ;)

Hey guys, quit it. This is about Resident Evil 4, not a general 'which company is best' thread.

I was going to sway it back with my last post, but decided that would have been the responsible thing to do :yuck:

I know, and that's why I try to disassociate myself from the general public.  I like Nintendo because they're not this egotistical mega-company that are selling themselves out for profit.  I would rather Nintendo die out making good games on quality systems that they put real time and thought into than keep going by rushing out unoriginal games on shoddily made hardware.  And another reason they didn't advertise much is because no matter how much money they put into it, Microsoft and Sony would still have more.  It's a lose-lose situation for Nintendo.

I've got the feeling that I will eventually be playing all import games, because at the rate the game industry is going...I won't want to play anything released here anyway.

I think That when it comes to Nintendo they are more down to earth SPECIALIST gaming company.. They dont need to be big... They are NINTENDO.. Whey were making games when sony were still making their first cassete players and when microsoft was busy nicking the design of windows from apple. Nintendo like sega dont care if you dont want to buy there sytuff they dont care if they get slated all they caree about is making great games and anyone who slates the GC and nintendo has a screw loose.. Just try a GC with Smash Brother or Zelda or Any of the new res-evil games... Just try... I think this says it all.. I dont think i am biast toward GC as i have a PS2 and Xbox and to actually admit i play my xbox more that my GC but thats just because on general release there is not a great deal of GC games.. But when they come... They are the best :pirate:
