Before cars, there were bicycles.  They were good for losing weight.

But now I drive an RX7. Rotary powered pocket rocket. Her subtle song serenades my as I drive, until I put my foot down and release her magnum opus of delight.

I drive too much.

if your parents are the listed as the owners of the car and you are listed as a "partime" driver the insurance is cheaper.

that's what were gonna try to do, but my mom's are at the beach and we need to go fill out some crap and we need my mom's signature.

now before you guys start with the "you're so lucky my parents never bought me a car"  i should point out that my mom didn't buy it for me, its her old car.  she bought a new one so now i get to use her old one and i have to share it with my older brother.  I also have to pay for my own gas and insurance.

I get 1,000 bucks (total) from my mom and stepdad but thats only because he was stupid enough to gove his son money for a car and now he has to do it for me my bro and his other 2 daughters
Thank god we dont all live in the same house i would probably be in prison for 3 counts of murder...

My mom isnt even going to get let me get a car probably unless if i can get my unlce to talk her into it. She wants to get a new one like i said earlier, but she does need one. It'll probably be a pickup, cars are mostly useless for our family.

I drive a '94 Toyota Corolla.  It's no sports car, but to me a car is a car...  As long as it's reliable and safe, I don't really need much else.

i will get to drive a 1996 work van(moms), a 2000 work truck(dads), and a 2003 Ford pick up(stepdads)which is the nicest. But like i said this old monte carlo might be coming my way |D.

Depending on which year you are talking, that monte carlo will have a lot of get up and go, and should be a fairly fun car, depending on condition.   Have fun wth it, but only when you cant hurt other people.

sweet i want my car to have shit like that in it

Title: Re: got my license
Post by: Antimind on July 18, 2004, 06:22:57 PM
I think every car needs to have shit like that in it!

When I was in NJ there were these idiotic kids that enter in those car pimpage competitions. The ones that put neons and crap everywhere, ever see the type? Anyway... This car they had at the pool hall has an Xbox and a PS2 in it. On top of that they have monitors in the side windows so you can see the action. Still I think that's taking matters a bit too far. If you put gas in it and it gets you from point A to point B there's nothing wrong with it.

Post by: Izret101 on July 18, 2004, 06:26:56 PM
but its even better if you can look cool while doing it
if i had any game system in my car though i wouldnt get anywhere though

Exactly why having one in a vehicle is too much. Aside from that there was a minivan on the highway that had a tv in it. Even though it had tinted windows at night it -was- distracting for other drivers.

My Corolla is a 1990 model with over 100k miles on it and I still average about 30 mpg. Best basic transportation I've ever had.

I filled up today for $1.86 for regular here in Cincinnati.  I think it was $2.06 for premium. But this was at Shell, and they tend to have higher prices.  I think gas could be had for about 5c cheaper at other places; but you run the risk of an octane change.

Oh the whole, gas seems to be cheaper here than in most parts of the country.  I remember talking to some poeple from Maryland saying that gas was over $3.00 a gallon through the winter.  Ouch!
