Title: Backups of our collections?
Post by: shaggy on January 08, 2006, 04:19:24 PM
What is the easiest way for us at home to backup our collections on this site?  What would happen if this site shut down and we didn't have a backup of our collections at home?  8)

EDIT:  Sorry, I posted this in the wrong forum.  Realized it too late.

Well, this site won't shut down....  so no need to worry about that.  However, one way to save a list of your collection is as follows:

1. Go to the "My Collection" page.
2. At the very bottom of the page, click the "Print Current List" link
3. A page will open that shows your entire list.  You can save this as an HTML file or paste it into an Excel document.

I would have to do that with each page of my collection, right?  What would be the best way of saving it?  As an Excel file?

I believe when you click the "Print Current List" link it puts your entire collectin on one page. So you would not have to do it for each page.

I click the "Print Current List" link and it does put it on one page.

Yeah, this is correct.  It prints the whole contents of whichever folder you are in.  If you want to save your for sale/trade and want lists, those would have to be done separately....  but I think that is for the best since you wouldn't want those all mixed together.
