Hey guys and gals, here is a friendly reminder that the big V-Day is coming up (mostly for the guys).  What did you get your significant others this year?

I hate Vday bunch of BS.

I have no clue what I am getting my wife. I might be getting a DS.

I've thought about doing that, too.  I might get her a DS.  She plays Nintendogs like crazy already.  I can actually play than when she is playing than.

I think he means HE is getting a DS not he is getting HER one.

On that note i don't have a significant other.
I haven't in 4 years and even then it wasn't around Valentines.

Most people are depressed when they're single on Valentines Day.  Me on the other hand, I'm happy as hell.  I'm saving a shit load of money.

Nothing, as I'm single, and I'll probably still be single by then.  So it'll be another day of gaming and whatever for me.

I hear ya on that one.  But it is also fun in some cases.  

Ahhh, you could be right.  I thought it was just a typo on his part.

I'm gonna blow a bunch of money that I don't have.  I hope I can keep it under $200 this year.  :P

I will get her something as well. She just never buys me anything game related. To lame of a gift for her to by me.

I'll be single on Valentine's Day, and happy for it.  Girls my age are too much trouble.

My fiance' says some of the stuff is left over from Christmas so I'm sure I will get some games.  I asked her what would be good for gifts and she said whatever I like and that games would work if they are to her liking.  So, what did I do?  Get her some GC and DS games!  WOOOOOOOO!

I get away easy on Valentines day. a card and something small does the trick. My anniversary is right after Valentine's (the 17th), this year is 10 years. I think I'm getting her a DS (mainly so i can play mine again) and I think she is trying to get me Guitar Hero.

Our Anniversary is on the SAME day as V-Day's.  Once we get married, though, that all changes.

Looks like I'm gonna have to go big this year.  My girlfriend told me over the weekend that so bought me something for Valentines Day already and she had to get it shipped to the house.  I'm guessing that it's something she ordered online, and not like an arcade machine, but when you hear that your present needs to be shipped you can't help but think big.

Do I hear wedding bells? LOL

See, the key for me is that the more thought put into it... the better. It's all based on presentation.

So when my woman gets out of work that night, i'll be waiting with a DVD (Charlie and the Chocolate factory... she doesn't want candy anymore, so I thought i'd get her a movie based on candy ;)) and then just a nice dinner.

Spontaneity and thoughtfulness is underated. I dislike the idea of being a woman and stuck with the stereotypes of our holiday expectations.

I would say that, male or female, one of the most meaningful gestures is to think out and plan over time be it something small or large. So at least make an effort to explain you want to spend more time with your significant other and are in effect buying a DS to do so (only if it is truthful of course).

my wife and I still hang out together all the time. we've got 2 weekends away planned for our anniversary. one from a free night at the Westin she won at a card party and our annual anniverary trip to Frankenmuth.

I've been teasing her about claiming my DS since she's addicted to Animal Crossing at the moment. I thought I'd get her her own. Anyone know if the have Animal Crossing skins for it?

I have the best situation.

My fiance said, "Don't get me anything for Valentine's Day.  I hate Hallmark holidays."

Thanks guys, very funny...I don't celebrate Valentine's Day so there is no test with me. Perhaps you all think that is a test in itself. I like more spontaneity when it comes to expressions of love...The extent of my participation on V-Day is to be in tune with the history that comes with the tradition.

I do hope you all give thanks (everyday) for those you love and who love you--keep them close to you.

The little lady got me the Monster Ballads CD that's being sold on TV.  It has just been all sorts of hair metal craziness for the past couple of days.
