This game is IMO the pinnacle of the Burnout Series.

Don't get me wrong the other ones are all excellent too but i just loved what was done with 3.
And i was kinda dissapointed with some of the changes made in Revenge.
Like the elimination of the multipliers and heart-breakers.

Saw Burnout 2 being played on Arena on G4 a few years ago and had to have it....love it!  Haven't played around with 3 yet, but intend to check it out soon.

Outstanding game! And you're right on with the addictive nature of it. I also like the custom soundtrak option.

I gave it 95%. I would've given it 100% if it had 4P splitscreen, licensed cars, and more car skin options.

Overall, though, definitely one of the best racers I've played.

I love this game. the guy doing the intros is annoying and the music gets repetitive but the racing is outstanding. it does a great job creating the sensation of speed. the road rage events are my favorite.

I too was disapointed there was no 4 player splitscreen on the Xbox version. this game would be a blast to play with the buds.

Hey den, as far as music, try setting up your own custom soundtrack. It's a cool feature that works very well with a game like this.

shouldn't this topic be stickied?

anyway... played a little Burnout 3 this morning. I'm not too deep into the game yet but I did cross the 15 million in damage mark and unlocked the B-Team van.

It also said I've completed the first leg/lap of the Burnout World Tour.

completed second lap of the tour. I'm also approaching $50 million in damage. I unlocked a delivery van and a semi cab.

the Burning Laps are the only race types I don't care for. In all the rest causing mayhem and destruction are the object to victory. The Burning Laps are beat the clock. In order to get gold you need to run a near flawless lap. After plowing into everything in other race types it's tricky changing gears and trying NOT to hit anything.

Yea i still don't have 100%.

I couldn't beat one of the last burning laps.

I am at 98 or 99% because i didn't get gold on a couple burning laps.

Burnout 3 is one of my favorite racing games of all-time and one of my favorite PS2 games.  I was hooked on the game for months.  One of these days I'll go back to it and finish up the last remaining races and Crash Junctions I hadn't finished.
