SCEA communications chief blasts an analyst report citing next-gen console issues at Tokyo Game Show, says flatly that the "PS3 does not suffer from an overheating problem." I mean my x360 gets so damn hot sometimes I wonder why the disc doesnt just melt into the tray, but I have had my 360 for a year and have yet to have a problem with it, I guess Im just one of the lucky ones as some people ave reported having to return theirs 4 times.

Yeah, right, I accidentally left mine on for three days while I was visiting my grandmother and I regularly leave it on overnight.

That environment is likely to overheat ANY console, imo.
We'll see what the fallout numbers are 6 months after the PS3 launch. Except for that time when all your save games got deleted ;) I think people who get original release consoles will have trouble with it and have to get it replaced. By the way, it's not just the Sony batteries in Dell laptops that explode like that, other companies who used Sony batteries also had the same problem. |
