Title: Game.com System Post by: Izret101 on August 15, 2004, 12:04:55 PM I saw a game.com system at a store mint NIB. it was priced i think $40. I asked the guy why it was so high all he said was because its new. I thought about buying it but then figured i should try and find out what its worth i can't really find out a average price for it. But they are on ebay for about $15.
Is it worth grabbing or should i pass it up for now and see if they will drop the price? It is collecting dust so i am not to worried about it being snatched up. Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Arrrhalomynn on August 15, 2004, 01:00:13 PM You should buy it, then burn it. Liberating the world from yet another game.com.
don't play it though. Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Izret101 on August 15, 2004, 01:57:21 PM Please dont tell me this is the general concensus. I would like to have found something good for a change that is still brand new. Plus that would be a waste of $40.
Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Arrrhalomynn on August 15, 2004, 02:07:48 PM It is. It's widely regarded as one of the worst systems ever. It's definately not worth the $40.
Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: den68 on August 15, 2004, 03:41:12 PM yeah, you'd be quite pissed if you forked over $40 for one. I don't hate the game.com as much as Arrr does but it is a fairly lame system. for $15 I'd grab one for sure though but only for collecting purposes. If it's gameplay you're after don't bother.
Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Arrrhalomynn on August 15, 2004, 03:46:51 PM And how interesting is a game to collect for if it only has 22 (?) games that can all be bought for 5 bucks? Not very challenging, I would think.
Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Izret101 on August 15, 2004, 05:16:03 PM i was going to grab it because it was boxed. But i wanted to see how far i should drop the price to and if he took my offer i could at least say i walked out of it with a deal.
Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Antimind on August 18, 2004, 01:04:39 AM Personally I LIKE the Game.com, if only for solitaire...lol So is the system in question just a run of the mill Game.com or is it a Pocket Pro? If it's a Pocket Pro what color? My crazy ass would prolly pay $40 if it's a Pocket Pro that I need. I'm tryin to get every color...lol So far all I got is the black one (backlight, *laff*) and the green one.

Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: T on August 18, 2004, 04:04:07 PM I bought one for $15 back in the day In my opinion that was too much! Out of my 45 + systems it is the only one that I consider a complete piece of crap Title: Re: Game.com System Post by: Lord Nepenthean on August 23, 2004, 09:26:14 AM Yeah, it's pretty worthless. It has a few neat features like two cartridge slots, built-in Solitaire, and.... Okay, so it's not very cool at all. Laurel is right about Solitaire though - it's the best game available for the system. It's always neat for me to find something I don't have, but Game.com isn't very cool beyond that.
