Title: Is it a good idea to sell mario RPG?
Post by: ganonbanned on November 22, 2006, 05:51:10 PM
I need some money to buy twilight princess when it comes out for gamecube, and I tried selling this on a different forum.  they told me the game is "getting rarer by the minute" and not to sell it.  is it really worth that much?

I would like to say yes, but as I have an extra copy I've been trying to sell or trade for about half a year, I guess that's our answer.  If you can have better luck then me, I'd say do it.  With the Wii as it is, I think Nintendo would be stupid to NOT release it on the virtual console.  Cant say they will so dont take my word that they will, but they definitly should.

I sold my loose one recently to my cuz.
THat and my CIB chrnon trigger got me 110$s.

Since i got CT for free and Mario RPG for 5$s from him years earlier i made a hell of a profit.

I suggest selling and not taking chances with price drops due to the virtual console. The ability to download the virtual version could make prices go up or down.

But if you need the money why take the chance?

As I am a collector, I would say no to selling it. Zelda TLP will be around. Maybe it will fly off the shelves for the holiday, but you know it will be there. Nintendo wont stop making them, it would be stupid to stop making money.

Mario RPG may or may not go up or down if released on VC. Maybe the VC game will make more people want to collect? Either way, you could always buy Mario RPG later... It just might cost more down the road. Then again, it may cost less.

Ultimately, the decision is yours ;)

as a collector i'd rather have the hard copy rather then a rom/download. just something about having the real deal makes it better. there is no value to a rom/download. keep your copy of mario rpg.
