Title: In need of a program to utilize the composite jacks on my PC... Post by: Dev1anc3 on March 07, 2007, 10:55:36 PM I'm am on the hunt for one. I have a Sony Vaio desk top, and it has two RCA/composite inputs, but it only came with one program to use them. The program that came with my PC, Giga Pocket, has a delay, a choppy framerate, and the picture quality sucks goat wang. I would like to find a better program, so I can play and record games on my PC through the composite jacks, or at least play them in good quality. Anyone have any programs that they can suggest?
I don't know why Sony put 2 input jacks on this computer, and didn't make a better program to use them... well yeah I do... It's a SONY! Post by: Hydrobond on March 07, 2007, 11:22:22 PM If the card is an ATi then most likely there will be some software from ATi that will be much better than anything provided by Sony. I don't have a link, but the ATi website should be all you need to look at. Other than that, there are a few other programs, none of which I have used, that should fit the bill. Check www.download.com for some of those.
How old is the computer? Title: Re: In need of a program to utilize the composite jacks on my PC... Post by: Dev1anc3 on March 07, 2007, 11:25:13 PM It's a 2003. I'll check ATi. Thanks.

He called Sony who said he should send it in to them so they could make sure what the problem was (£140), then said it would be £250 for a new motherboard because the graphics are integrated. So it would be something like £400 to get it fixed. That's a bit silly for a three or four year old PC, so I told him to look for a new PC.
I showed him one on the Dell website which was £300 with roughly twice the power and a 17" monitor. He was thinking of getting that Dell but he's in hospital at the moment. |
