WWF Wrestlemania Challenge Week: 3/12/07-3/19/07 Game: WWF Wrestlemania Challenge Console: Nintendo Entertainment System Year: 1990 RFG ID: U-027-S-07520-A Publisher: LJN Genre: Sports/Wrestling Players: 2 Game Page Address: http://www.rfgeneration.com/cgi-bin/getinfo.pl?ID=U-027-S-07520-A& Seeing as how the focus of this week is the often overlooked genre of sports on RFGeneration, I decided it would be wonderful to make the featured game a very easy to understand, yet undeniably fun, wrestling game for the NES. I know me and my brothers have wasted countless hours playing this game. In my opinion, it is easily one of the top contendors for the best 8-bit sports game, and is in fact the best 8-bit, likely even 16-bit, wrestling game. Well I never played this one. The only wrestling game I ever played with regularity was Smackdown on PSX, and that was mostly because of the sexy customizable ladies and therefore interesting lesbian porno looking matches me and my friends created. Their games went downhill from here, to the mediocre Steel Cage Challenge and the downright abyssmal King of the Ring. Too busy developing their 16-bit titles to care about the good ol' NES I guess.
