I thought this was funny so I couldn't help myself.

Digg consensus says WoW won't help you score a lover

We're not sure if 1,816 comment Diggs rank as the most ever as this Diggster claims, but it sure is a lot. So just what do these 1,816 commenters share in common? They believe playing World of Warcraft won't help you score a significant other, contrary to what the opening thread alleged (click for full image). "Buried as inaccurate," is their mantra, sung in one accord.

I knew a lot of husband and wife combos when I was playing.  So it may not help you score a lover, but it might just be "for lovers."

Not being one to blow my own trumpet, but I've never had much trouble with the ladies, (sometimes leaving me in some sticky situations), and I can honestly say I've never pulled using video games as a chat up line let alone WoW.

I find it especially hilarious because it's not a study but merely comments and opinions by regular people, Tyra Banks couldn't have done a better job with it lol.

As Hydro says you see a lot of couples play toons together, or alternating. Although there are a fair amount of gamer widow sites out there, perhaps showing that slaughtering virtual enemies is far more important to many than meaningful relationships.

Anyways I'm sure some people play so much that they never see the light of day but for most people, or for me at least, who still make forays into non-virtual public places, it isn't like we stand around talking to chicks about how much our backstab crits for, it's a secret second life only discussed when we have identified another person as a fellow player. It's just something people see as geeky and played by nerds who won't score anyways.

It's common consensus, you all really don't know WTF you're talking about.

Anyone who plays WoW and uses the "single by choice" excuse raise your hand.   :o   ;)

One shouldn't talk out of school.

Here at school 95% of the chicks are either ugly, stupid, whores, depressed, repressed, crazy, want to settle down, goth, emo, alchoholics, crack-whores, or stupid.

My last girlfriend wanted to settle down, one month after I dropped her she told me she was engaged to someone else. Of the two girls currently most interesting to me one comes from a broken household and drinks like a sieve and the other has your general deep seated emotional problems, she takes anti-depressants. Of the girl interested in me, she's intellegent but I wouldn't be caught dead with her because she ranks pretty damn high on the ugly meter (she plays WoW ).

The ones I like best are the teachers, I can woo them with my papers, but I think that could cause trouble.

In anycase I want an older chick who has figured herself out. What age did you meet your wife Tan?

Did you intend to say "stupid" twice here? 8)

Leon, we agree on something! My girlfriend is older than me and personally there's no drama, no bullshit, and a much more mature approach to the relationship in general when you're involved with an older woman.

I can understand that. I've always had preference for older women. I met my wife when I was 21, she was 25 and finished her second degree. Even when I was hitting up bars at 17 I was chasing women in their mid-late 20's  ;)

I did indeed mean to say stupid twice. Because it is the most common flaw.
