Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Hydrobond on September 22, 2004, 07:54:00 AM They fixed the problem. I checked it last night and it had GTA San Andreas (SP?) listed under the 2+ category. I was in the middle of the bottom row.
Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Zimbacca on September 22, 2004, 07:58:48 AM Ok, now I get it.

Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Hydrobond on September 22, 2004, 09:49:48 AM Did anyone take a screem shot of it by any chance?

One "screem shot" coming up! |D Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Izret101 on September 23, 2004, 11:59:10 AM Off topic does anyone know if that was recoverdd yet? It was stolen a little over a month ago.
Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Hydrobond on September 23, 2004, 03:34:39 PM Havn't heard anything about it. But i never understood why stealing a painting is lucrative. Its not like you can sell it and make any kind of money.
Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Izret101 on September 23, 2004, 04:17:39 PM You can buy and sell anything if you go through the right outlets. But its estimated value is somethng like 12 mil.
Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Mike Leon on September 23, 2004, 08:39:50 PM There was an article about that in Newsweek two weeks ago. They said it would be almost impossible to sell because it's so well known and anyone who sees it will know it's stolen. Most of the people who try this kind of thing get caught when they try to sell. It's not like you can put up a classified ad. You would have to personally know someone who would buy it, knowing it is stolen property.
Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Izret101 on September 24, 2004, 02:13:54 PM Quote You can buy and sell anything if you go through the right outlets.quote] Just thought i would point out i had said that already Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on September 24, 2004, 02:25:07 PM Yeah, but after 20 years the crime will have aged (or however you call that) and it won't be punishable anymore.
Steal painting at age 18> wait till 38> sell painting for millions> live the good life for another 50 years. At least, that's what it's like in the Netherlands. I'm not sure what's it like in Sweden, but I can't imagine crimes don't age there. Of course you could always get in trouble with the 'cultural national heritage' crap, which might have different rules. Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Izret101 on September 24, 2004, 02:35:44 PM Since it is a crime of such great significance it will always be on the watch eventually they will find it unless it gets destroyed. Porbably in another 100 years but they will find it again.
And they call it "closing" the case. Dont know why, maybe its because its a file in a folder.. close it like a book..... anyways. Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on September 24, 2004, 02:42:44 PM Yeah, but after 20 years, it's the thief's, he can't be punished for it anymore. I could steal the neighbours jewelry now, and walk up to them, 20 years and one day from now, and ask them if they want to buy it back, and there's nothing they can do, because I'm the rightful owner after that period of time.
It has nothing to do with the police searching of investigating. It has to do with laws that automatically get in effect. Title: Re: Ages 2 and up?? Post by: Izret101 on September 24, 2004, 04:09:37 PM Does anyone know if thats true over here? Man i think i might go down to the Quadrangle if thats true.(Quadrangle is the museum here)
