Well, any news is good news for me. I'd be even happier if there were a Wii version, but hey, you take what you can get.

The Wii is getting an exclusive Action/Adventure game that was previously announced. I guess you could look at it in two ways:

1. The wii announcement was made first, so the 360/PS3 game is a sort of consolation prize the the rest of us gamers.

2. They wanted the power of the 360/PS3 so they made a unique Wii game to make sure the Nintendo fans didn't get left out and announced it first before the SCIV hype starts building.

Because regardless of the games that have been released so far the Wii hasn't been pushed to it limit in the slightest, I'm sure it could pull off a decent SCIV. If it's any indication Nintendo's Zelda dev team stated that Twilight Princess used 95% of the gamecube's resources but only 15% of the Wii's.

I think that because of the uniqueness of the Wii, it forces developers into a difficult position because it doesn't have the graphical, storage, or processing capabilities of the other consoles plus its controller scheme is so different.

When SC2 was released across all 3 platforms, it did give each console a unique character in their games. But I think that there was enough standardization in the 3 consoles' capabilities that SC2 could be produced in such a manner.

I agree with Tan that the Wii is getting the action/adventure game as some kind of consolation, so as for Namco not to alienate itself from Nintendo.

Supposedly Yoda on the 360 and Vader on the PS3.

Dammit! Why couldn't they put both of them in the same game!  :evilsad:

Here's the article from 1-up.

I completely agree. I never cared much for SC4 or fighters in general...

Except Clayfighters, Boombots, and Killer Instinct, but that's another story.

I loved the original Soul Calibur, it provided endless hours of fun at the time.... but don't really care for any of the follow ups.

I wish I liked fighting games. There seems to be a lot of good fighting game series out there.
