Title: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 06, 2007, 01:28:13 PM Is it just me or is there not as much hype about E3 this year? Last year it was insane seems like it was talked about all over the place.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 06, 2007, 01:32:53 PM E3 is a shadow of it's former self, I expect GC2007 and the TGS to be much bigger this year. Though E3 will still have a few surprises it's importance will diminish every year. With so much floor space being taken away it's be much less extravagant and fewer companies will be there.
It has shrunk from 60-70,000 down to 5000 this year. Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 06, 2007, 01:35:04 PM It has shrunk from 60-70,000 down to 5000 this year. Is that attendance numbers? I thought this year they weren't letting every one in because it was so crowded last year. Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 06, 2007, 01:38:23 PM Quote On July 31, 2006, it was announced that the expo would be downsized and restructured and on October 13, 2006 the new format of the show was detailed. Essentially, the E3 "Trade Show" was replaced with a much lower-key and inaccessible event or series of events known as the E3 Media and Business Summit. It will focus on press events and small meetings with media, retail, development, and other key sectors. While there will be opportunities for game demonstrations, E3 2007 will not feature the large trade show environment of previous years. Now instead of YEAAHHH!!!! it's more like hmm nice. :P Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 06, 2007, 03:11:35 PM No wonder there has been hardly any talk about it this year.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on July 07, 2007, 04:52:27 AM E...who?
Title: Re: E3 Post by: phoenix1967 on July 08, 2007, 08:52:56 PM I'm sure we'll still get tons of coverage from all the webzines out there.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 08, 2007, 10:25:33 PM Both the 360 and the PS3 will have E3 coverage on their respective marketplaces as well during the week.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Izret101 on July 09, 2007, 01:34:16 PM Yea i was pretty sure last years E3 was the last "normal" one.
I thought the larger companies were going to host their own shows for their own stuff now. Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 09, 2007, 02:41:08 PM Square Enix has released a few release dates for this year:
* Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker (DS; November 6) * Heroes of Mana (DS; August 14) * Final Fantasy II (PSP; July 24) * Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP; October 9) * Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings (DS; November 20) * Front Mission (DS; October 23) Front Mission for DS, now that has my curiosity, I'm a big fan of 3 and 4. ;D Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 09, 2007, 09:54:31 PM PGR4 in-game shot (X360) Check out that rain :o
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tondog on July 10, 2007, 08:36:07 AM Most impressive. I don't know that it can beat that STUNNING snow in Resistance Fall of Man though.

Do you have a picture to prove your case? Or are you being sarcastic? Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 10, 2007, 01:28:27 PM That si a pretty picture. In game or CG?
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 10, 2007, 01:45:41 PM That si a pretty picture. In game or CG? That's in-game. Apparently even in third person the rain will soak the camera as well as change the driving conditions as the road gets wet, same thing with snow. Very Impressive. On top of that heavy rainfalls and snowstorms are random like real weather so one minute your cruising along on a cloudy day with dry roads, the next your in heavy snow with poor visibility and slippery roads. Title: Re: E3 Post by: shaggy on July 10, 2007, 02:25:44 PM What did Microsoft say at there press conference last night? I can't find anything, although there is speculation of a Xbox 360 pric cut down to $350.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 10, 2007, 02:51:31 PM Sonic Rush Adventure (http://gonintendo.com/?p=21028)
Nice! :speechless: 2 good Sonic DS games in a row, what's up with that? :slick: Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tan on July 10, 2007, 02:57:06 PM What did Microsoft say at there press conference last night? For some reason I thought today was Wednesday and yesterday was Tuesday. Shit! I was even in the chat last night and that didn't keep my days right!
Title: Re: E3 Post by: TraderJake on July 10, 2007, 08:51:08 PM But it's Thursday.

And Peter Moore playing Rock Band was hilarious. Oh, and I can't forget Jade Raymond demonstrating Assassin's Creed. Some of the things she said could be like this year's "Giant Enemy Crab".Funniest moment of last night's conference: the floating body bug in Assassin's Creed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhW_Du-dBlc Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 11, 2007, 10:32:11 AM What did Microsoft say at there press conference last night? That was TERRIBLE! I thought I saw a floating body. OOPS! Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tondog on July 11, 2007, 10:39:11 AM I just love Jade's little laugh at that part.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 11, 2007, 10:43:21 AM She was kind of freaky.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: shaggy on July 12, 2007, 10:07:00 AM Man, what about Wii Fit? I'm strangely psyched about that. Cool concept, I think.
Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tondog on July 12, 2007, 12:48:53 PM Most impressive. I don't know that it can beat that STUNNING snow in Resistance Fall of Man though. Do you have a picture to prove your case? Or are you being sarcastic? It looks far better when it's actually on a TV in front of you instead of compressed internet video. I don't agree with you, the rain looked better. The rain actually makes contact with the surface of the car and runs down the body! Title: Re: E3 Post by: Tynstar on July 13, 2007, 11:57:06 AM If the snow in Resistance Fall of Man effects the game play like they say the rain will in PGR4 then I say the rain is better. Either way both games look aswesome and teh snow/rain add to the game.
