Post by: Izret101 on September 27, 2004, 02:08:18 PM
I was listening to the soundtrack again. (Havent been able to listen to music in months without my computer freezing) and i just thought i would let everyone know to pick up the sound track. I dont know if it was sold commercially.

I'll just play the game, although it would be pretty kick ass to drive around and have the NFSU tracks blaring. :-)

Isn't the soundtrack for that game a whole lotta rap?

Not all of it, but most of it seems to be rap. And then some more lousy music. Nothing I'd want in any car I'm driving.

There is less rap in there than you think, most of it is metal.  Give it s shot before shooting it down.

You don't need to give it a shot if you've read what songs are on it.

I think there are only 4 real rap songs on it, theres rap, metal, electronica/techno.
There are more and probably like subgenre crap but i dont pick up on those. I listen to all my music as background music when im doing other stuff.

From what I saw, the "metal" looked like nu-metal, which is not really metal at all.  It's just the bastard child of hard rock and rap.  When I think of metal, I think of (old) Metallica, Exodus, Merciful Fate, Blitzkrieg, Motorhead, Diamond Head, and so many more.  If I'm missing something and the metal in NFSU is anything like the aforementioned bands, then I'll go get this.  Otherwise, I stand by my "Yuck" statement.

It does have a track from Rob Zombie and another from Static X.
The rap that is on there isnt stereotypical rap though.
But i like almost all music so i dont have a problem listening to them anyways.
I like the songs by Asian Dub Foundry, Jerk, Overseer, X-ecutioners, Story of the Year, BT... out of  26 songs i think i only really dislike 3 at the most.

Only if it would mean you'd get away from it.

Play the game and you cannot deny the greatness that of gameplay and the music together.

I would like to play the game, but I won't listen to the music. In my opinion racegames and music don't match. If I take out a high perfomance sportscar in reallife I don't go blasting music either. The wind and engine sounds give a much bigger kick.
