Title: Re: The Criterion Collection (Post Yours Here) Post by: two_scoop_steve on August 28, 2007, 05:02:03 PM chasing amy and life aquatic, the only other one i would justify paying for is fear and loathing.
Title: Re: The Criterion Collection (Post Yours Here) Post by: BadEnoughDude on August 28, 2007, 05:37:54 PM Rushmore, Life Aquatic, The Royal Tenenbaums and Chasing Amy.
Nothing too special. The only one worth more than a regular DVD is Rushmore, and I don't even know how valuable that is anymore (I think I paid something like $28 for it). Title: Re: The Criterion Collection (Post Yours Here) Post by: OatBob on August 28, 2007, 08:46:43 PM I do not have any of the Criterion printed movies, and have seen very few on the list. These selections seem to be more artistic and maybe less popular. While I was glad to see Spartacus (one of my favorites) there, some things like Armageddon leave me scratching my head. I make no claims to being a film buff, so I don't have much opinion on the Criterion collection.

What I really want though from the Criterion Collection is the This Is Spinal Tap set they did. Title: Re: The Criterion Collection (Post Yours Here) Post by: tholly on September 18, 2007, 12:36:34 PM Wow that movie does look insane. Yea....I thought it (The Night Porter) sounded crazy. I am pretty excited to watch it. Title: Re: The Criterion Collection (Post Yours Here) Post by: den68 on October 22, 2007, 03:49:16 PM Quote The Criterion Collection, a continuing series of important classic and contemporary films, is dedicated to gathering the greatest films from around the world and publishing them in editions that offer the highest technical quality and award-winning, original supplements. Armageddon RoboCop Chasing Amy Time Bandits The Royal Tennenbaums now I admit I do like a lot of these movies but asscoiating them with the above quote (taken from Criterions website) seems a bit odd. I was also pleased to see that Showgirls was NOT a Criterion movie. That would have cost them all credibility. Title: Re: The Criterion Collection (Post Yours Here) Post by: Sauza12 on November 09, 2007, 05:05:44 PM The only Criterion movie I have is The Royal Tenenbaums. Matter of fact, I just watched it at work today.
