Me and some friends are thinking of opening a video game store online and wanted to know what you guys like/dislike about them so this one can meet all your needs. We would be selling games from all gens plus things like Anime toys and Japanese candy.

Shipping prices... It seems like just about every online video game store has outragous shipping prices, and most of them won't show you hom much shipping costs are, until you fill in shipping info, and go to check out, as a way to try and sucker you in to buying...  which is why I very rarely use them. The only time I do use them is for something that I can't find on eBay, or Amazon.

You should sell Japanese sex games, there's money there.

I would say shipping costs and adequate descriptions of the items I'll be buying.

PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES!

If you're selling used titles, be sure to include in the descriptions if they contain the original box, game and manual. I never buy used games online without knowing this information.

To expand on what Phoenix said, be sure to list the condition of the box/game/manual/whatever else may be included and maybe include pictures.

I'll take this a step further and say condition and pictures of the actual item, not stock pictures of the game used again and again for the same one. :P

Yeah but we've all used eBay enough to see what "adequate descriptions" can mean. It truly is in the eye of the beholder in most cases and prone to misinterpretation. :P

Good packaging...and this should be noted on the website.  One flaw of buying (collectible) games or accessories online is that they may not arrive in the condition that they are sent in.  I think that's a pretty important factor, and also definitely what the others have said -- pictures and accurate descriptions are almost a must. 

Like everyone else said picture of the actual item being sold.
Accurate descriptions.
Test everything.
Do NOT ship in bubble mailers.
Also make your prices competitve.

I agree with all of that. If you don't do picture due to volume then at least say if it has the box and manual. I have seen sooooooo many pages that don't say if it is cart only or what not.
