Title: Some real photos of my new game room.
Post by: BadEnoughDude on February 21, 2008, 01:50:29 AM
So I got my real camera working again yesterday. All it took was a toothpick. I felt like McGuyver. Anyway, it allowed me to replace the shoddy photos I had taken a few days. There are more detailed photos on my profile page.

I call this one "shelf of systems not hooked up"

Nice pictures, I really love the built in shelves.  There's a reason you took a picture of the closet doors.  The toejam and earl poster is awesome and deserves a picture.

Revamped.

EDIT: It won't let me upload to my profile? It's giving me a  "500 - internal server error." How peculiar.

Lookin' good. I've got a shelf almost identical to the one in your first picture, did you make yours in shop class too? I love built in shelves, I really wish I had some.
If I may make a suggestion, move the NES, SNES, and N64 away from the window before the sun fades the plastic.

I have the blinds shut all the time. I opened them for the purposes of lighting the room for photos. They'll be fine :)

The shelf is actually my ex's. It's just a holdover until I get a different one. I love those built in shelves though. There are some directly behind these ones (in my TV room) where I keep my DVDs.

I was wondering that too. I'm guessing records judging by the condition, look a little too old to be LDs.

They are LPs. I don't/haven't started collecting LDs :)

Nice room!

I've still got a couple years until I get a room for my games.

Nice collection.  In case you didn't see, I fixed the image uploading problem, so you should be able to add pics to your profile now.

I also saw a little birthday cake next to your name in your forum profile. Happy 26th!

I got them up there the other day. Thanks for taking care of that.

So yeah, there are more detailed photos in my profile :)

Nifty little collection you have going there. Really well organized and nice to see most if not all of your consoles have boxes. Plan on boxing up some of those loose carts or just not worried? I really can't stand loose carts because they're difficult to show on the shelves I have without stacking them infront of one another, hiding back rows and killing the ease to select a game to play. A few extra posters wouldn't hurt, otherwise good job.

I keep coming back to your pics and your nice collection.  O' how I hate being boxed up in closets due to a small house.

I'll eventually work on boxes and manuals, but it's not high on my list of priorities right now. They'll come in time. It's difficult because there's not many stores devoted to classic games in my area, and the ones that are around mostly deal in just the carts.

As for more posters, I just haven't gotten around to digging more up. I know I have more in some of those game boxes though!

Hah, I know what you mean. This is the first place that I have lived where I've been able to have my stuff out of boxes in a closet. Actually, even here, It was that way for the first year or so. Only when my ex and I split up and she moved out did I have the extra space to use. Thanks again though, the compliments are very appreciated!

Nice collection man!  I seriously like how neat it looks -- the white walls and sunshine really make the contrast stand out nicely, too.

I'm sort of a neat freak. So much so that I'm even trying to improve what I have there. I'd like to get new shelves for my DVD-case games. something taller that I can fit everything on. I eyed some at Ikea, but they were $50 each and I'd need 2 of them. Next time I have an extra $100 :)
